Apparently, however, the pitching mound deserves some credit. At least according to Joe Morgan. It seems that the Detroit pitchers just couldn't get used to the pitching mound and therefore that's why they left their pitches up. Never mind this is the third game of a three game series when Detroit had *no problem* with the mound in the previous two games. And they're in our division, so they've been on that mound before. But Mr. Morgan is certain that's the only thing that could cause Detroit to pitch so poorly.
You know, Joe Morgan's never really bothered me before. But, is he really that much of a moron?

I also vote for keeping the pink bats, as much for the symbolism as for the effectiveness. And let's not blame that rookie pitcher too much - the Twins have made a number of poor pitchers look like (pre-elbow) Liriano this season.

I attended the game with my son (our Mother's Day tradition) and after Torii's second homer he said to me "I always knew he was a mama's boy!" (In our house, that is not a bad thing). I agree that the pink bats have GOT to stay. And although I didn't see Joe Morgan in action this time, I agree that he is a moron -- and very biased against the Twins.
