Is it me, or does Gardenhire look like he could be doing double-duty by working as a Santa Claus at Southdale?

Posted by: Reboulet at December 11, 2006 10:46 PM

*must have one!* Too funny!!

Posted by: Newton at December 11, 2006 11:36 PM

I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT I WANT IT!!!!!!!

Posted by: aussie at December 12, 2006 12:35 AM

Santana is an ELF?

Posted by: Brian at December 12, 2006 12:46 AM

Hooray! I can *finally* prove to my cousins down in
Kansas that Santana Claus is real! :)

Posted by: Piranhtachew at December 12, 2006 01:09 AM

Really, is it just me, or is anyone else curious as to what 'Lil Willy Eyre and "Big" Matt Guerrier trying to hide? And the Garza kid... c'mon!!

Posted by: ramon marcos at December 12, 2006 02:31 AM

Yeah, that's pretty much awesome. The height disparities are amusing too.

Posted by: Bob at December 12, 2006 03:10 AM

How do I get on there list? I want one!

It's SANTA! I know him!

Posted by: JohnWayne at December 12, 2006 06:28 AM

How'd they get LNP to kneel instead of sliding headfirst into the card?

Posted by: dlarso01 at December 12, 2006 07:18 AM

Why is Santana wearing the elf hat? If anyone should be wearing an elf hat, it's LNP...

Posted by: Rach at December 12, 2006 07:22 AM

Santana in an elf hat! He's so screaming adorable I can't stand it!

Posted by: Angela at December 12, 2006 07:44 AM

Hilarious! I want one... where did you find that BG?!

Posted by: Shelley at December 12, 2006 07:45 AM

I think that with some judicious and skillful Photoshopping Santana could be lying on lovely black satin sheets with an artfully draped Homer Hanky (TM) or -- hey, what about the elf hat?? -- over the naughty bits....

....no, I do not have that skill, but heck, I visit Worth1000Words.com every once in a while, and there must be a Twins fan out there with the will and the way....

and now I have to go to a meeting.

Thanks for showing us the card.

Posted by: PatGLex at December 12, 2006 07:59 AM

YUMMY!

Posted by: TwinsGoddess at December 12, 2006 08:22 AM

that...

is...

AWESOME!

What a way to start my day. Thanks, Beeg, and Thanks, Twins!!!

Posted by: wc at December 12, 2006 08:55 AM

Gardy looks like Santa in regular clothing-the hat is too much. I really really really need one of these.

Posted by: Erin at December 12, 2006 08:57 AM

Man, I love this team. It's fun seeing them all lined up like that, arms around each other, looking like they really do enjoy playing together... Isn't it time for spring training yet?

Posted by: adidasman at December 12, 2006 09:20 AM

I received one of these cards and taped it on a wall in my office with all of my other XMas Cards. As you can imagine, this is the one that gets all of the attention.

Posted by: Swing at December 12, 2006 09:42 AM

Ooh, yes, i want one!! Where did u get that card? I don't suppose I'm special enough to actually get one sent to me. (sigh)

Posted by: L.H. girl at December 12, 2006 10:16 AM

Squee! How does one get ahold of that?

The card, of course.

Posted by: CarrieICL at December 12, 2006 10:22 AM

I want one, I want one! How do I get on the list???

Posted by: Riley at December 12, 2006 10:41 AM

Absolutely Awesome!!!!!!!!

Mauer = Giant. I knew he was tall, but jeez...
Neshek and Eyre = Old school socks.
LNP = Same hieght when standing.
Bradke = Hero. Please stay in the picture, Brad!!!

Posted by: rotrhed at December 12, 2006 11:34 AM

Hoo-boy. We did pick up Dick Bupkis...

Posted by: e-9 at December 12, 2006 11:44 AM

For a second, I wondered if LNP really was *that* short.
Then I realized, "Huh. Kneeling."

Posted by: neutrino boi at December 12, 2006 11:52 AM

I love the fact that Willie Eyre has to kind of slouch in order for Juan to put his arm around him.

I'm also wondering what Carlos and Matty G. are laughing at. Hmmmmm. . . naughty boys!

Maybe I was blind to it, but I think Bradke has more of a sense of humor/rascal in him than I thought. I mean, he's giving Andy bunny ears. Plus, have you guys seen his pregame press conference before the last playoff game? LaVelle asked him about possibly retiring. Bradke started grinning like, "you dirty dog. Why'd you have to go and ask me that?!?!" Then he winked at LaVelle. It was very endearing!

Posted by: Bring Back Reboulet at December 12, 2006 12:13 PM

Merry Christmas indeed. :)

Posted by: Spacey Stacey at December 12, 2006 04:05 PM

Posted by: Kelly at December 12, 2006 06:40 PM

Ok, seriously, I like NEED TO HAVE ONE OF THOSE! IT'S FRIKKIN AWESOME!!!!!!!

Posted by: blueyes at December 12, 2006 06:49 PM

Because Johan Santana is the BEST!

Posted by: sh at December 12, 2006 06:57 PM

Yes, where does one go about getting one of those cards?

Posted by: Newton at December 12, 2006 07:06 PM

This looks very similar to the poster they gave out to kids at the end of the year (I wanted one so bad, but I don't think I can pass for 14 anymore). I think the hats may be photoshopped on. I hope I'm wrong because I'd love to have one.

Posted by: AnnaM at December 12, 2006 07:57 PM

Wait, I just looked closer and it has the MVP, batting title, and Cy Young on it so maybe I am wrong. I hope so!

Posted by: AnnaM at December 12, 2006 07:58 PM

Cuuuuuute! Barty looks absolutely adorable in that santa hat!

Posted by: TwinsPrincess at December 12, 2006 08:02 PM

Seems likely the hats were photoshopped onto the same picture used for the poster, along with the addition of the MVP, etc., in order to make the card.

Totally adorable.

Posted by: Word Smith at December 12, 2006 10:18 PM

it is the same as the year-end kids tribute poster - just touched up by photoshop with captions & hats added. still, its great - as was the original poster - best Twins team poster ever, actually. i'm so glad i had kids... um, not just for this, y'know - other reasons, too...

Posted by: dfb at December 12, 2006 10:45 PM

If you have to be 14 or under, I'm making a fake ID. Who's with me?

Posted by: Ames at December 13, 2006 02:05 AM

They've done this poster before - when Dougie and AJ were still with the team - I think I have it somewhere in a closet =)

Much love

Posted by: Wonder Woman at December 13, 2006 08:49 AM

Wonder Woman is correct. I have one too.

Posted by: Ellen at December 13, 2006 11:27 AM

How can we get a copy?

Posted by: scarlic at December 13, 2006 12:19 PM

I would imagine this is the card sent to season ticket holders.

I haven't received mine yet, but I sure hope it's in the mailbox when I get home today!!

Posted by: bubblemint at December 13, 2006 01:29 PM

What is it about the way Neshek looks that makes it seem like he often goes around in this type of getup?

Posted by: adam at December 13, 2006 02:12 PM

i love IT!!! i need one!!! were do you find it?!?!

Posted by: Annie at December 13, 2006 08:20 PM

YAY - mine came in the mail today - how wonderful - but since I got home baked goodies from a friend in Illinois - the card was only the second best thing I got in the mail today =)

Yup- I have season tickets =)

Much Love

"What is it about the way Neshek looks that makes it seem like he often goes around in this type of getup?"

Reminds me of how comfortable he was in his rookie hazing outfit.. haha.

Posted by: Susan at December 14, 2006 11:11 PM
