Friday Morning BatMedia Round-Up

Absolutely most importantly, apparently, at Twins Unplugged last night Little Nicky Punto revealed that he wears a green Speedo under his uni when the team is doing well. a) Batgirl is thrilled with the number of readers who emailed her to tell her that, because that is exactly the sort of thing that makes Batgirl's life worth living and b) a guaranteed B.O.D. to the Twin who gets BG a picture of THAT.

Now, to the media:

Newly Engaged jclund gives us the "All Mouthful Team"

If you want to come to the June 11th game, please email Batgirl. Tickets are $15 and she needs your check by the 26th.

I wish you would have mentioned "Twins Unplugged" last night!! I went a few years ago, and knew it would be coming up but had no clue where to find out!! How did you find out about it?? It would be great if you did a recap on your website i.e. who was there, what was said.....

Dear Mr/Ms. Nonymous--BG was not there and did not know about it, so she will rely on other people to fill you in.

It is because he KNOWS green is my favorite color...hence my green LNP BF shirt.

What on earth is at the "All Mouthful Team" link? Our company blocks certain web sites and that one was blocked as pornographic content. I'll probably be hauled away by our information security folks any minute now. That'll teach me not to read Batgirl at work.

Dear Attyfan:

Unfortunately my site, twinkietown, is blocked for some when at work. I promise that my site isn't pornographic. When I chose the name for my site, I had no idea that the word "twinkie" had roots in porn. Other than a nickname for my beloved Twins, I thought that, at worst, "twinkie" was merely a cake-based desert with frosting and perhaps a creamy filling. And sometimes jelly.

One of my other choice names for the site was "themilkjug.com"...but for some reason I don't think that one would go over well for people at work, either.

Blast the luck.

It mentions the name of a certain ex-Twins catcher who now plays for the team our boys are about to obliterate this weekend. Surely, that's the reason it was blocked.

Y'all have to chaeck out the Onion story; really, really funny stuff. The Nolan Ryan bit is the prize winner, but the Ty Cobb joke is a close second. And Torii gets a mention, so that's always nice.

Come on, Twins - three of four. That's all I ask. And a win for Brad. (Is there a "Bradke is my NSMC" t-shirt? I'm beginning to think I need one...)

there was also discussion of the pink bats for Sunday, at Twins Unplugged, and Nucky Punto said he'd wear a pink speedo if someone sent him one.

I know it's not good to laugh at someone's pain, but...
Caption contest anyone?

We've got 6 of 15 members of the All Mouthful Team on our fantasy team! We're just here for the sass.

Happiness is an off day without Twins Hottest Chick.

Although LNP in a speedo may become a problem.

Silly Chicago reporter...

Will they ever learn?

Posted by: Snarky at May 12, 2006 05:05 PM

You know, if Brian Anderson weren't having such a great year, thoughts of Torii wearing a Sox uniform in 2007 make me tingle....

Posted by: LeftWingCracker at May 12, 2006 06:44 PM

Actually, Batgirl is blocked from my work, as well as Twinkietown.com. Our high-tech security filters consider them "personal pages". I also can't read Twins Geek from work, but AaronGleeman.com is okay. Dumb.

That Torii Hunter homerun is hilarious. I'm picturing it now and just rolling...
