They should have walked him. I said that to my dad after the first pitch to him. After a few times of shouting, "GO!" to the ball, I turned back to my dad and was like, "Yeah. That's why you shouldn't pitch to him."

Was at the game. Section 117, row 12, seat 29. On pitches one and two, we were all discussing how stupid Guillen was to pitch to Justin. My daughter (seat 28) called it. "Third pitch," she says. Bye - bye. Very sweet.

I love Justin's big boom boom stick...and you all can take that however you want!

Clutch hitting is not real, but Justin Moreplease's bat is very real and powerful.

Today, very hard to argue...all dissent silenced by the BOOM!!

But I'd like to point out today's BOD should have gone to Red-dog for the insprirational effect of knowing it was time to get something started in the 8th. Kind of like the Dr's BOD back in late April.

Ozzie Guillen is afraid of Joe Ty Cobb Punto, not Justin Morneau. that's why he walks the piranha and pitches to the shark.

The radio announcers were saying during the at-bat that they should pitch very carefully to Justin, not giving anything he can make solid contact on...for their own sakes, they should've listed to John and Jack. For our sakes, I'm glad they didn't.

It made it much easier to stay that late, face the flooding streets and rain after a sweet win like that.

The best part was the look on his face after he hit it. I don't think he even cracked a smile, just gazed far into the distance and thought " that'll do it, eh?" I wonder what hockey jersey he had on under his uniform. Is he still wearing the nasty smelling Bertuzzi one?

"First, the Canucks got beat by Anaheim. Then Morneau called his buddy, Vancouver defenseman Willie Mitchell, and told him he would no longer wear Mitchell's jersey under his Twins uniform.

Last year, Morneau became American League MVP while wearing a smelly Todd Bertuzzi jersey. Tuesday he went generic, wearing a blue T-shirt.

"I told Willie his shirt was no good," Morneau said, smiling. "I wore it the last couple of games, and that didn't work."

Unbelievable! I don't have TV so I had to watch the HR on twinsbaseball.com. I watched the replay about 5 times because I thought I was missing something. I mean, it hit the bat, and less than 4 seconds later someone was pulling it out of a seat where it had already landed. That is one of the fastest HRs I have ever seen that went that far--truly amazing. When you look at last night's game and then read yesterday's notes about Morneau's struggles and what he has done to correct tham it's even more amazing!

Just the game the Dr. (pun intended) ordered!

I suppose they didn't want to move the winning run to third base with a walk, but I'm sure in hindsight, Ozzie wishes he had.

Wow, he hit the crap out of that ball (yep, Dee, I loved the look on is face too). I'm surprised it was *only* 444. Would that have been out of the park in the new stadium? My guess is it would be close.

I knew it was gone as soon as AJ's glove started drifting up. He wanted the pitch about a foot lower than where it ended up; therefore, the pitch ended up (at least) 444 feet away from home plate. Hey Mr. Masset--note to self--probably not a good idea to miss up and in on The Doctor.
