Go Matty, Go!

(He's my new baseball boyfriend since the last Twins Unplugged event.)
I've been rooting for him since he came back from his injury - I so want him to do well.

Go Matty, Go!

Scutarooooo, Where Are You?
I got to pitch to you now.
Scutarooooo, Where Are You?
You got to take your swings now.

Shaggy is, like, pitching tonight -- far out!

Posted by: funoka at September 12, 2006 04:56 PM

"Jeepers! Fire up the Mystery Machine gang, because the next few weeks are gonna be an adventure!" Here's hoping the Twins continue being "those meddling kids."

(For the record, I was a Johnny Quest fan.)

Posted by: E-6 at September 12, 2006 05:55 PM

As long as Shaggy is careful. I think Scooby Snacks are on the MLB no-no list.

Posted by: TwinsFoghorn at September 12, 2006 06:12 PM

I'm pretty sure I just read that Velma plays linebacker for the Jets...

Another Twins victory!

Posted by: scottymac at September 12, 2006 10:01 PM

Best game yet. GO TWINS!

Posted by: SaraD at September 12, 2006 10:02 PM

Heard in A's dugout: "And we would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for those darn kids!"

Posted by: Kurtis at September 12, 2006 10:07 PM

Smoke and mirrors indeed!!

Jinkieys(nice spelling huh?:),What fun this is.

Click my name for Twins love from Verducci of Sports Illustrated.

Posted by: Kurtis at September 12, 2006 10:18 PM

Comebacks are fun. Perhaps it will be a co-BOD night with Jason Tyner as one of them... and Cuddles as the other.

Posted by: Shelley at September 12, 2006 10:18 PM

Still no win for Shaggy. Le sigh.

Posted by: Kris at September 12, 2006 10:18 PM

QUICK! Go to the Twins website and look who's pitching tomorrow!

Ha ha, I know everyone already knows who's pitching, but isn't it so much fun to actually see Liriano's mlb picture posted??? And activated off the DL. I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW! It's a good thing the game is during the day cause I don't think I can wait a full day to see him pitch.

Kurtis--nice link. Verducci is fine writer. Here's more national media love for the locals:

Balls. I'll be in class from 1:30 til 3:30. I'll get to watch like... 45 minutes of it before I have to leave.

Posted by: Shelley at September 12, 2006 10:28 PM

Shelly, forget it. I'm in Medical School and we have a test later this week. I'm skipping class tomorrow afternoon, even though I'm not nearly familiar enough with nervous system spinothlalmic pathways.

Posted by: TX Ken at September 12, 2006 10:33 PM

TX Ken--That's a true Twins fan!

ps--I hope you're never my doctor :)

Posted by: E-6 at September 12, 2006 10:37 PM

"nervous system spinothlalmic pathways" Gesundheit.

I'm not in big lectures anymore... and I have almost all my classes with the same people... they'll know if I'm missing.

Wish I could skip.

So, what am I going to complain about when these guys play this way? Nathan throws 36 pitches last night, and comes right back to throw 18 more, retire the top of the order in, well, order, and k's 2. I love these guys It was 53 years ago when I began this relationship,so there were a few rough years there, like 40 or so of them, but this year is what I have been waiting for;I think.Al

Posted by: al at September 12, 2006 10:39 PM

PS. I'm a true Twins fan... I'm just a good student trying to become a teacher.

Posted by: Shelley at September 12, 2006 10:40 PM

Don't worry E-6, I will put in some extra hours late wednesday night!

Posted by: TX Ken at September 12, 2006 10:42 PM

What calculator are you figuring that out with, Al? 53 years? Were you watching them when they were the Washington Senators? Pretty sure it's only been 45 years. :)

Posted by: Shelley at September 12, 2006 10:42 PM

Shelley, go to class. On the days I would miss class to stay at home to watch the game the Twins lost. I think it was school karma. But I also know the feeling of sitting in class not being able to pay attention because I keep wondering what the score is.

Posted by: gina at September 12, 2006 10:44 PM

Good point gina. I forgot about the Karma thing. Maybe I'll go to class and just watch the "gamecast".

Great!!! Now Im conflicted!

Posted by: TX Ken at September 12, 2006 10:51 PM

Anyone catch AJ tonight on Best Damn? He seemed a tad nervous, not quite his cocky self. Admitted he flipped his bat (eventually) and had good words for Morneau. Boos from the Twins fans in the audience...

Posted by: PJStP at September 12, 2006 10:55 PM

If you text 46645 from you phone and type in "Twins" you can get the score of the game texted back to you. (this works on football too)

Posted by: gina at September 12, 2006 11:02 PM

Gosh, Shelly, Pete Runnels ring a bell? Jim Busby? Gil Coan? Sid Hudson? From '53 thru '60, they were in Washington, and I followed their every move. Where were you in '53? Al

Posted by: al at September 12, 2006 11:19 PM

Gooo, Angles. 11th INing, Jeepers.

Posted by: Twin-X at September 12, 2006 11:47 PM

Shelley, a word of warning. If you skip class too many times, you'll end up like ... well, some of us. Old, semi-employed, with small children avoiding you on the street because you're known to mumble obsessively about people who aren't there - like the mysterious 'Chairman,' the supreme El Presidente and the enigmatic Jackal...

Posted by: tgd at September 13, 2006 05:03 AM

wow... Al, that was downright positive!! you made a tear come to my eye!! *HUG*
