Posted by: Mike&Jane at September 8, 2006 03:22 PMThe Buddha tells us that desire is the cause of suffering. But I say the cause of suffering is a slumping offense and a tattered starting rotation. The Buddha was obviously never involved in a pennant race.
Posted by: twayn at September 8, 2006 03:36 PMThe Buddha ain't never told me nothin', so I'm not going to concern myself with him. But I went to Fresno State, so I'll sing along with the big red bulldoggy - come on, Garzilla! "Oh, no/It's time for him to throw/Go, go Garzilla/Ooh ooh ooh ooh/Oh, no/Breathe fire and crush your foe/Go, go Garzilla!"
Hey - it's not poetry, but consider the source material I had to work with. I did the best I could.
Posted by: adidasman at September 8, 2006 04:24 PMAdidasman, I'm going to be singing that all the way to the Dome tonight. Section 226, row 19. Game on!
Posted by: twayn at September 8, 2006 04:56 PMTwayn,
I was at that game last night! I was hoping maybe another batling would be there. I was sitting in the upper deck (my family had general admission tickets), so I don't think I would have seen you even if I knew what you looked like. By the way, I was just checking where you were sitting in relation to me (across the ballpark), and it seems like you had a really good view of home plate.
