Oh, doctor? I haven't been feeling so well lately. I don't know, it's like just this feeling of low-grade despair and--

--oh! all better! You're the best doctor ever.

Posted by: Kurtis at June 9, 2006 11:25 PMStrong second place from Chairman Mauer as well. Three hits, a run, a walk, a great block of the plate, a steal, and the first catcher to gun down Patterson all season. He could have one of Hunter's, maybe? Well... probably not... but I bet that's one cranky BatBaby after an 0-5, 6 LOB, shoulda-been-a-two-base-error evening from him.

Posted by: James at June 9, 2006 11:40 PMI humbly suggest that the Chairman should be permanently excluded from Boyfriend-dom. We don't want the Greatest Player Ever getting tired legs or anything. Just his beauty rest. Let the mortals take the bows and the laurel wreaths.
and tell that Miss USA hussy to BACK OFF. Look what the swede did to Tiger. Just ruined him -- he loses sometimes now. Can't have anybody taking The Chairman's edge or messing with his Mojo.
Posted by: brianS at June 10, 2006 12:04 AMA big thanks to the Orioles for taking the bat out of the hands of Brian Roberts and Miguel Tejada twice late in the game. That was much appreciated.
I still wish the Doctor could scoop a one-hopper, but if he's gonna keep hitting home runs with men on, I'll look the other way.
It sure is good to have the boys back home.
Posted by: Will at June 10, 2006 12:08 AMAlso, a special thanks to LaTroy, who in what i think is his fist appearance against the Twins decided to spot us a few out of the goodness of his heart!
Posted by: Torhu at June 10, 2006 12:14 AMThe Doctor is definitely in. Boom. Boom. Out go the lights.
Posted by: twayn at June 10, 2006 12:28 AMEven in a season that gives me heartburn...these are the moments we stay for!
Viva Doctor Boom!
Posted by: Jesse at June 10, 2006 12:35 AMI'm almost drove off the side of the road listening to the end of the game. Good thing it was night otherwise passing cars might've seen a crazy girl waving her arms in the air (hey, maybe that's why I almost went off the road...) and yelling.
I love my comeback kids. I had faith in Morneau... even if he hadn't been hitting well lately. Guess he needed a clutch situation to bring back his hitting.
Posted by: Shelley at June 10, 2006 12:42 AMM@M Boys hmmmmm. Would it not be so totally cool if someone could get on base for the Chairman. He would like some RBI's too, please.
Posted by: Todd at June 10, 2006 12:59 AMBatgirl,
RD wonders if there's a real doctor out there who could, perhaps, graft Just(in)Offense and DougieDefence. That would really be JustIncredible, huh? And it would make a lot of people happy, wouldn't it?!

Grafting rules
I do so want to personally thank the Doctor not only for swinging a big stick of walkoff dynamite last night, but also for the timeliness of his encore trot around the basepaths, for one no-longer-quite-so-recalcitrant and recently recalled Mr. Kyle Loshe was warming in the pen and was due to take the mound for the 13th inning. Call me superstitious, but that could well have unleashed the hounds of Ignominy and let slip the minions of Evil upon our beloved Twins. Plus, my head would have imploded again.

What RD said? I vote for that.
I fourth RD's proposal, but yay for the good doctor just the same. Maybe his fielding will pick up with experience?
Posted by: twinkiething at June 10, 2006 10:39 AMThank goodness someone could bail out Cuddyer's *steal*.
Posted by: Teece at June 10, 2006 11:13 AMRight on, RD! I can think of few things that would make me happier.
Posted by: FordHoiberg at June 10, 2006 12:18 PMHey RD...maybe we could get that work done by Tony Graff-anino.
*rimshot*
...*runs away*
Posted by: Torhu at June 10, 2006 01:08 PMOh my goodness, a Doug/Justin replica/clone?! Amazing, RD, truly amazing...
