Still, if it's on I find myself caring about who wins that weeks Banana Republic challenge or whatever.

RD seconds Skorch's comments about Nick and Santino's work on Project Runway last week. In fact, it was the second time that Santino should have been eliminated. But the judges seem to keep him around because he makes good TV even if he has no good fashion sense. The way he disrespected Michael Kors last week reminded me of when Randy Johnson asked, "Who's Hank Aaron?"

For the record, RD is thrilled to be able to tie in Project Runway and baseball.

Adding to Twins WBC list:

Nathan will be in bullpen for USA--along with Lidge and Wagner. Rincon will be in pen for Venezuela. Koskie (almost a Twin again) is playing 3B for Canada.

At end of Terry Ryan interview at Twins website--he mentioned worried about injury in WBC--so am I--too many Twins pitchers including most of pen in WBC instead of spring training.

I second motion to have BG coverage (legovision??) of WBC.

More WBC news--according to Twins web site--23 Twins (many from minors) are on WBC rosters. Here are a few more--Lil Rod (Ven.); Reyes (Mexico) Liriano (Dom. Rep.). Thats like 8 pitchers...Venezuela has strong pitching, Santana, Silva, Garcia and both Zambranos with KRod and Rincon in pen...team worth watching.

MLB is now saying they are "cautiously optimistic" that the Bush Administration will approve their reapplication to allow Cuba to play. The question I have is, will the Cuban gov't allow Cubans playing professionally in the US to represent them in the tournament? Most of them didn't exactly leave Cuba under the best circumstances.

Jackal was dressed pretty nicely at last year's Caravan, but that jacket is a big step up!!

It shouldn't matter who's playing for the team...if you're an American, you should root for team USA (i'm not an overly nationalistic or patriotic person...but I believe you've always gotta root for your home team.)
