Thanks Batgirl. This will be the first item on my Christmas wish list. I'm already so baseball deprived that tonight I watched a few innings of the game I recorded on Tivo this past Sunday. I was hoping that my addiction to Sudoka puzzles would get me through the off-season, but now I'm not so sure. Where is a one run loss when you need one?

I was kinda thinking I could get a lot of stuff done during the off-season. But instead I'm sitting around looking lost and confused, because, as Batgirl so eloquently put it, "The offseason sucks." I will own one of these very soon. These shirts are entirely too perfect.

(May I humbly request a long-sleeve version, so I can wear it in Minnesota during the off-season? Of course, this shirt will also come in handy if we ever have to go through a sucking period during baseball season--to remind us that it could be worse!)

But the off-season is the time of free agent signings and interesting trades!

And what trade could be more interesting than sending Justin Morneau to get Corey Koskie?

Oct 4 - With Aaron Hill on the horizon as the Blue Jays' third baseman, Toronto GM J.P. Ricciardi may consider dealing Corey Koskie to the Twins for first baseman Justin Morneau, the Toronto Star reports.

When asked about Koskie's future, Ricciardi said: "I don't know. If Hill's on our club he's going to have to play every day. ... He may end up being a third baseman here."

And by the way, the off-season may suck, but the post-season thus far? Excellente!

Al Newman is leaving to be a scout for Arizona. I just heard it on the Channel 9 news.

Newman was always candid and funny on the radio. I'll miss him.

I agree with JustBeth - a long sleeve version, please. I promise to buy one and pretty much live in it all winter.

Great shirt, and I agree 100 percent with the sentiment, but with heating costs going up 73 percent, got to have a long-sleeved version. Preferably in polar fleece as I think that's all I'll be wearing until pitchers and catchers report.

you're right Batgirl, the offseason DOES suck, especially since Newmie's gone.
my memory of Newmie goes back to '90, when i was 10 and he signed my brother's baseball at the first Twins game we ever went to. i was 10, my brother was 12, and we didnt know who Newmie was, so we played catch with the ball and scuffed it all up.
in the winter of 2004 Newmie came down to Rochester on the Winter Caravan, and i got to tell him that story. i wanted to have him sign my ball, but i already got Bert to sign it, and couldnt get 2 autographs. now i'm rethinking that decision.
