Why is Torii Hunter Smiling?

Because he's signing the hood of the Cars for Courage Ultimate Twins Fan Vehicle, that's why. Dodge donated a 2006 Charger to Courage Center that has been signed by 40 Twins, past and present. The car will be raffled off on Fan Appreciation Day. You can buy a raffle ticket before every Twins home game on the Metrodome Plaza, at Courage Center, at select Dodge dealerships, and at other locations throughout the summer. I was reading some of the posts from earlier entries, and it sounds like more of you were voting for Scotty Pods over Torii. Could this be true?? Is Twinkie Nation forming a soft spot for their AL Central bretheren ChiSox??

I wouldn't get too excited. We had one Twins fan voting for Pods, and someone posting as "Twinkie Fan" whose provenence is somewhat dubious.

I used to have a 1987 Dodge Charger -- the final year of production before the current version. It was white and it had a Twins bumper sticker on it.

It sucked, but I put about 96,000 miles on it. The most annoying feature to my friends and family was a leaking windshield -- it leaked on the passenger side so it didn't bother me that much.

Posting about Dodge Chargers and not being off topic is so cool.

Hey, after working in PR most of my life, we (I work for the nonprofit raffling this off) finally have a promotion I really love! I'll be selling raffle tickets at quite a few games so you all stop by. And, remember, your odds improve if you buy more than one.
