Because he's signing the hood of the Cars for Courage Ultimate Twins Fan Vehicle, that's why. Dodge donated a 2006 Charger to Courage Center that has been signed by 40 Twins, past and present. The car will be raffled off on Fan Appreciation Day. You can buy a raffle ticket before every Twins home game on the Metrodome Plaza, at Courage Center, at select Dodge dealerships, and at other locations throughout the summer. For more information and a schedule, please see the Courage Center website.

I love the new Charger and I love the Twins.
This might be my dream car.
I will have to register when I'm at the game next weekend.
Posted by: ndtf at July 7, 2005 12:06 PMThat's my car! Who stole my car?!
Posted by: jclund at July 7, 2005 01:01 PMWhy is Torii Hunter smiling? Cause he sees BG approaching ;)
To stay on topic, it's a cool idea, if only the car were hockey related, then I'm totally go get a raffle ticket.
Posted by: closetJaysfan at July 7, 2005 01:36 PMSweet, but can you drive the car in the snow and rain?
Posted by: frightwig at July 7, 2005 02:45 PMoh, way cool! if only I had a place to keep it... I may have to build a showroom after I win it. ;-)
Posted by: kafumbly at July 7, 2005 03:47 PMI was reading some of the posts from earlier entries, and it sounds like more of you were voting for Scotty Pods over Torii. Could this be true?? Is Twinkie Nation forming a soft spot for their AL Central bretheren ChiSox??
Posted by: Marky Mark at July 7, 2005 03:55 PMDear Mr. Mark,
I wouldn't get too excited. We had one Twins fan voting for Pods, and someone posting as "Twinkie Fan" whose provenence is somewhat dubious.
Sincerely,
BG
"Is Twinkie Nation forming a soft spot for their AL Central bretheren ChiSox??"
Uh yeah - when the Sox bring back the disco uniforms - I might form a soft spot for them - Nope not really. Sorry for sliding a little off topic ={
Thanks for the article batgirl - I wonder if they put the 'real' hood back on the car - so you can keep the signed one on your wall or something???
Much Love

My favorite Dodge driver is Jamie McMurray. My favorite Chevy driver is Robby Gordon. My favorite Ford driver is Carl Edwards.
Posted by: Joe at July 7, 2005 04:18 PMI used to have a 1987 Dodge Charger -- the final year of production before the current version. It was white and it had a Twins bumper sticker on it.
It sucked, but I put about 96,000 miles on it. The most annoying feature to my friends and family was a leaking windshield -- it leaked on the passenger side so it didn't bother me that much.
Posting about Dodge Chargers and not being off topic is so cool.
Posted by: funoka at July 7, 2005 06:33 PMThe new Charger makes my pulse quicken and my head go woozy. Winning one that is decked out like that might not be a good idea if I want to live past 23.
Posted by: Eric at July 8, 2005 12:42 AMHey, after working in PR most of my life, we (I work for the nonprofit raffling this off) finally have a promotion I really love! I'll be selling raffle tickets at quite a few games so you all stop by. And, remember, your odds improve if you buy more than one.
Thanks for posting this Bat-Girl!
Posted by: suegwarner at July 8, 2005 02:56 PMWOW!! This is way cool! A great car. A great team helping a great organization - Courage Center.
Thanks for telling Twins fans about this opportunity.
