Twinkie Fans,

Its been a few days since it ended, but I just wanted to say that the first series of our rivalry was a good one. We got to Lohse and Radke, you got to us with Santana. Speaking of him, he's damn good, no debating that, and proved that he is more than deserving of the credit and honors he's recieved. However, our rotation definitely has more depth, and there's no way you're gonna convince me otherwise. Our 5th starter, Jon Garland, gets an average of 12 wins per season... not bad. Anyways, I am happy that we took the first series, and although it's early I hope that trend continues. Much respect to the Twinkies and what they have done, but the fact that they were espn.com's trendy pick to win it all this year means that they are just plain cursed.... just look what happened to last years pick, (my other least favorite team) the Cubs. Overall, glad to be out of your crap-hole stadium with a series win.... see you in Chitown in a few days.

So when is Jeb going to pick a new boyfriend? I'd hate for him to fall too far behind the rest of Team Batgirl.

Posted by: Skorch at April 13, 2005 10:55 PM

Tiffee! Tiffman! The Tiffinator! Breakfast at Tiffany's! Tifftoe Through the Tulips! It's the Tiffster, smackin' dingers!

I was in church last night, but my mom didn't make it. She left me *two* voicemails about Terry Tiffee's hits. I know what she's getting for Mother's Day.. Thanks, Batgirl!

TIFEEEEEERIFFIC!!!!

Posted by: bubblemint at April 14, 2005 09:57 AM

Dear BatGirl,

I have a question. What if Jeb ultimately chooses Tiffee or Hunter as his BF? Will he be awarded the point retroactively (and the Readers docked a point)? Or, will it be on a go-forward basis?

Ok, that was three questions.

Yours,
k-bro

Very well, Ang. I'll also get one that says "Terry Tiffee is my girlfriend's boyfriend." Or how about, "Terry Tiffee's girlfriend is my boyfriend."

Let people try and sort that one out.

- Kurtis

Dear K-Bro,

That is an excellent question. I would certainly not dock the readers. Should Jeb get the points too? What do you think?

Sincerely,
BG

When Jeb finally decides on a boyfriend (I think Lew Ford was arm wrestling Jason Bartlett to see who could ask Jeb to be his boyfriend last night) His points should be retroactive, much like Dr. Morneau's stint on the DL.

Posted by: HooliganKat at April 14, 2005 01:16 PM

Dear Batgirl,

I think Jeb could have the points retroactively.

I just worry that if he doesn't choose pretty soon, Batgirl will have to do all kinds of accounting and spreadsheet-making to keep track of Jeb's potential points.

It's a good thing that Batgirl is smarter than I am. Spreadsheets frighten me.

Yours,
k-bro

I think Jeb should have to choose a new boyfriend before a timely deadline, if he wants retroactive points. Otherwise he's just like the guy who predicts a tournament champion midway through the quarterfinals, after everyone has seen who's hot.

Btw, since BG chose the Chairman to replace A.J. and Goober chose Morneau to replace Dougie, what are the odds that Jeb will choose the new 3B Cuddles?

Posted by: frightwig at April 14, 2005 03:43 PM

Dear Frightwig,

That is certainly a good point, though you can be assured that Jeb chooses with his heart. Still, if he hasn't chosen in a reasonable amount of time, he shall have to begin anew. As for Cuddy, well, it's not very likely, as every time Cuddy makes a nice play Jeb starts grumbling and pouting. Some wounds may never heal.

Love,
BG

p.s. The Terry Tiffee Tshirt file is a .Tiff! Hee hee hee hee

Etiquette question spurred by post, above: Do those who are not fans of the team from Minnesota get to refer to said team as "Twinkies," or is that solely our privilege?

That hideous hag sportscastress from FOX -- what's her name? Jeannie something? -- has done it every ALDS/ALCS.

Eagerly awaiting the BatVersary's primary celebrant's guidance on this matter.

Posted by: qjw at April 14, 2005 04:11 PM

Dear qjw,

No. Just us. And we do it out of love.

Helpfully,
BG

Posted by: Batgirl at April 14, 2005 04:14 PM

I can't believe how heartless everyone here is. Jeb is still a broken man over the lost of his BF and you people need to get off his back about picking a new one. When he is ready he will pick.

Poor Jeb

Do the batkitties have kittieboyfriends ?

Posted by: kitties at April 14, 2005 04:37 PM

I don't want to complicate things, but I think I'd make somebody a pretty good boyfriend. Especially if you like video games. Do you like video games?

Posted by: Lewwwwwwww at April 14, 2005 04:41 PM

Batgirl thinks Lew is really Jeb's boyfriend, but she also thinks Jeb worries about cursing him. Batgirl however knows that Jeb's love not is a curse but a blessing.
