Play it Again, For Old Time's Sake

Batgirl's friend Media Guy sends this old intro to the Max and Maloney show, starring one Mr. Bob Casey.

EDIT: And Batgirl's found one more.

That brought tears to my eyes.

I hope the Twins come up with a CD of Casey's stuff. I would pay for one!

thanks for that link. As a non Minneapolite? Minnesotan? whatever...as somebody living in Australia, I appreciate the chance to refresh my memory as to exactly what Mr Casey sounded like.

I bawled when I saw the pictures from his funeral...and the article from his funeral...but I can't help but smile listening to this...

The best part has to be, "If you must smoke, go to NBC!" :-D

Twins Baseball is gonna be weird without him...

Oh wow...that was really sad! How weird is it going to be to go there and not hear that voice?
I agree with talldrinkofwater about the CD. That would be awesome to have.

Like others, I found that incredibly sad. Thank you so much, Media Guy and Batgirl, for bringing this to our ears once more.

Yeah, I'd like a CD, too. It sounds odd to want a CD of a PA person, but Bob Casey was that memorable!

I loved the article by Nick Coleman in the Metro section of the Strib about the funeral. Very touching.

Holy crap! There's a poll on espn.com's main page asking: "Which is the best team in the AL?" and the TWINS are on it!

So far we only have 8.6% of the vote - get yourselves over there and get voting!

Off Topic, but did anyone hear that we lost our dear Restovich? He's now a Devil Ray. My heart goes out to all the male 'lings who adored Mrs. Resto.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I agree with the suggestion to put out a CD. That would be worth a few bucks.

"Number 34! Kirbee-ee-ee-ee-ee Puckett!"

Awesome. I need to save that so it plays when I start my computer.

I've listened to it at least 10 times now and it gave me goosebumps.
