I think Gardy got a little too much sun recently. And with the way the weather appears down there, he had to work at it!

Well, you guys had to suffer through all that butt talk during TwinsFest, I guess we can live with a little slobbering over the wives.

Speaking of wives, remember when Mrs. Dougie did some TV commentary work? I thought she was super smart and interesting. Maybe it's just that I was surpised because I had low expectations, but I liked her.

Errr, now I'm wracking my brain... I don't think she did any commentary actually, they just had her up in the booth a few times. But she talked about wanting to do a "Wife Commentary" with Mrs. A.J.

Jodi Mientkiewicz and Lisa Pierzynski were supposed to do the commentary in Oakland for the Saturday night game. But the Friday of that weekend FSN settled their deal and that was the first game we saw as FSN last year, so no Jodi and Lisa. I was looking forward to that game.

Maybe Mrs. Resto can be interviewed in the booth. If not, the idea of getting seats close to the wives section isn’t a bad one.

When Butch Wynegar started to fade after his rookie season, Calvin Griffith said that the problem was that Butch was chasing his new wife "all over the bedroom."

Pepper - How could I have forgotten about Jodi Mientkiewicz? I was bummed when she got traded away from us, but seeing Mrs. Restovich just goes to prove that the Twins farm system always seems to replace the losses.

You know who else is lovely? Resto's sister...I did a tour of Italy a couple summers ago and she was on it too. Very lovely

Careful Andrew--Resty is big. I wouldn't be talkin about his sister....

And if at all possible, if there is a Mrs. Morneau (or a girlfriend) could we not ever get a picture of her? It would really make me sad.

I'm starting to become jealous/suspicious of Insider's insiderness... I would not at all be surprised to see a cross-legged POV shot of Lew Ford playing Grand Theft Auto.

el diablo - I agree, Ms Tiffe is cute as a bug in a rug. All 5 wives that were there that day were very attractive. Mrs. Stewart is really hot, but camera shy. And you know what, these gals are really nice.

Good memory, Paul. Yes, I would have loved to hear Jodi and Lisa do the commentary. Oh well.

And to BadAndy48: Luckily for us Twins fans the young pups always seem to step up to the plate and fill the shoes of the ones who've passed on. Makes you think of "scouting" in a whole new light:) Doesn't Jim Bouton have another name for that?!?

I find nothing more offensive than a public figure who can't keep his/her cartoon characters straight. Gardenhire's quote about Rivas' incessant babbling to 'Nanu', when he clearly meant 'Kazoo', demonstrates an ignorance of his culture that cannot be described as cool. I legitimately fear for the Twins this season under the direction of such an artistic cretin. Having said that, I agree that JJ looks absolutely ging-ging in his jersey.
