Drills are starting at Spring Training, as Insider's pictures show.

Relief.

Starters.

Autographers.

Rehabilititors.
Meanwhile, the Twins wives are putting together a book of drawings for the Twins Community Fund and, ever willing to take one for the team, Insider went over to hang out with them. Here is a sundae, likely drawn by the new Mrs. Shannon Stewart:

And here we have Mrs. Tiffee and Mrs. Resto, creating a delicious dome dog.

Meanwhile, for the ladies, Insider gives this picture of Mr. Jacque Jones.

Oh, and I look good in those Nike shirts, too, Torii.
Insider! These are awesome. I must say, JJ is looking pretty good in that shirt, lol. And those are works of art, better than I could ever do.
Posted by: Sam at February 28, 2005 01:55 AMHoly moly! I should have been a baseball player.

The media here are examining your pictures with total amusement! Are you down here?
Now, why don't we have more photos of the wives? I think there should be a lot more of that type of photo.
We could even do contests with the wives! Twins' Wives: Hot or Not!
After all, the media here is STILL crazy about Mrs. Benson. But I think we need MUCH more Mrs. Resto!
Anyone else into this?

Posted by: NY-Brian at February 28, 2005 10:03 AMYou girls have had your fun, so let me be the first to say that Michael Restovich needs to stick with the Twins, and I need to get tickets near the Wives' section.
Posted by: Chris at February 28, 2005 10:06 AMEven with that goofy ass early-morning-and-there's-a-stranger-with-a-camera smile, Mrs. Restovich is hot. Very hot. Wow.
Posted by: Will at February 28, 2005 10:21 AMDearest Mr. Three,
Batgirl is doing secret government work and cannot attend Spring Training, but one of her generous and talented readers, known only as "Insider," has been supplying us with these works of photographic fabulousness.
Meanwhile, after today's "Gardy Speak" entry in your notebook section, we are all a little worried about our beloved Skip.
Sincerely,
Batgirl

You'll see me driving down the road with the first car that can actually fly -- no wheels. Glass wheels. It never needs tread. Cuts the road to pieces." --Ronald Gardenhire

...i have a 401(k)!
Posted by: Beckasani at February 28, 2005 12:13 PMNY-Brian - I'm with you! I vote for more pictures of the Twins' wives. This doesn't get me banned from the site, does it?
Posted by: BadAndy48 at February 28, 2005 12:33 PMDearest Insider -
Thanks!!
Yay - Little Nicky Punto ;-)
JJ - looking good!!
Have a great week - looking forward to more pictures.
Much Love
Wonder Woman
Thank you, again, dear Insider. It's nice to see family members of the players, but, of course, nothing beats the pictures of players. I really wish I could be there, but, alas, I'm doing secret non-government work this spring.
I think Gardy got a little too much sun recently. And with the way the weather appears down there, he had to work at it!

PRETTY!

Posted by: el diablo at February 28, 2005 12:53 PMHubba, hubba, Mr. Jones. Thank you, Insider.
Posted by: qjw at February 28, 2005 01:09 PMWell, you guys had to suffer through all that butt talk during TwinsFest, I guess we can live with a little slobbering over the wives.
Speaking of wives, remember when Mrs. Dougie did some TV commentary work? I thought she was super smart and interesting. Maybe it's just that I was surpised because I had low expectations, but I liked her.
Posted by: Pepper at February 28, 2005 02:14 PMErrr, now I'm wracking my brain... I don't think she did any commentary actually, they just had her up in the booth a few times. But she talked about wanting to do a "Wife Commentary" with Mrs. A.J.
Posted by: Pepper at February 28, 2005 02:19 PMJodi Mientkiewicz and Lisa Pierzynski were supposed to do the commentary in Oakland for the Saturday night game. But the Friday of that weekend FSN settled their deal and that was the first game we saw as FSN last year, so no Jodi and Lisa. I was looking forward to that game.
Maybe Mrs. Resto can be interviewed in the booth. If not, the idea of getting seats close to the wives section isn’t a bad one.
Dearest Insider,
Once again, thanks a million for all of the wonderful pics for all of us not lucky enough to be down there. I am especially interested in the activity of the Twins' wives since my goal in life is to become one...hehe;)

How could you not be with a name like Tiffee?!

Posted by: el diablo at February 28, 2005 04:08 PMMy Favorite Twins Wife Story
When Butch Wynegar started to fade after his rookie season, Calvin Griffith said that the problem was that Butch was chasing his new wife "all over the bedroom."
Pepper - How could I have forgotten about Jodi Mientkiewicz? I was bummed when she got traded away from us, but seeing Mrs. Restovich just goes to prove that the Twins farm system always seems to replace the losses.
Posted by: BadAndy48 at February 28, 2005 04:21 PMYou know who else is lovely? Resto's sister...I did a tour of Italy a couple summers ago and she was on it too. Very lovely
Posted by: Andrew at February 28, 2005 04:44 PMCareful Andrew--Resty is big. I wouldn't be talkin about his sister....
And if at all possible, if there is a Mrs. Morneau (or a girlfriend) could we not ever get a picture of her? It would really make me sad.
Posted by: ForMorneau at February 28, 2005 05:52 PMI'm starting to become jealous/suspicious of Insider's insiderness... I would not at all be surprised to see a cross-legged POV shot of Lew Ford playing Grand Theft Auto.
Posted by: Haplo at February 28, 2005 06:56 PMel diablo - I agree, Ms Tiffe is cute as a bug in a rug. All 5 wives that were there that day were very attractive. Mrs. Stewart is really hot, but camera shy. And you know what, these gals are really nice.
Posted by: insider at February 28, 2005 07:17 PMGood memory, Paul. Yes, I would have loved to hear Jodi and Lisa do the commentary. Oh well.
And to BadAndy48: Luckily for us Twins fans the young pups always seem to step up to the plate and fill the shoes of the ones who've passed on. Makes you think of "scouting" in a whole new light:) Doesn't Jim Bouton have another name for that?!?
Posted by: Pepper at February 28, 2005 08:45 PMI find nothing more offensive than a public figure who can't keep his/her cartoon characters straight. Gardenhire's quote about Rivas' incessant babbling to 'Nanu', when he clearly meant 'Kazoo', demonstrates an ignorance of his culture that cannot be described as cool. I legitimately fear for the Twins this season under the direction of such an artistic cretin. Having said that, I agree that JJ looks absolutely ging-ging in his jersey.
