Finally, I can say the Twins won in Funoka, Jr.'s lifetime -- b. April 24th, 2007 -- aka Tony, as in Tony-O!

That was the longest. game. ever. The scoreboard was full of Ks and backward Ks but it didn't feel like 13 of them (or whatever number it was) because there was ALWAYS a Royal on Base because we kept walking them there. And the Twins kept going down 1-2-3 and we were so sad.
But then... Justin had a hit and Tyner had a hit and we said - RedDog just CAN'T hit into a Double Play, he just CAN'T! and he didn't! and we won and there is a shining ray of hope again.
RedDog/NBP should get honorable mention for BOD for taking a ball in an unmentionable place that you couldn't see because there was no TV.

PS - Congratulations Funoka on the arrival of Tony!

Wait, Hold up...The Twins ACTUALLY won? No, no, no, no! I must be dreaming! Someone pinch me! finally! It's about time. Oh, NBP should get a congrats too. We actually had some-what of a DH today!

The Boof definitely was not on fire, but he "battled" and got his pitches close enough to the strike zone to allow the Royals to flail at them in the right situations. The Twins might as well DH Casilla. He has as many HRs as our other DH possibilities, other than (God forbid) L-Rod.

First win in five games and I'm stuck in meetings all afternoon. Nods to the Doctor, Boof, Red Dog, and Bartleby for the F6-6-2 DP.

Longest game ever not for me - I've sat thru a 18 extra inning game - against Oakland a couple of years back - I stayed for all 18 innings- we lost.
Then there was another super long game against Seattle many many moons ago - I'm just saying 11 inninga that ain't nothing =P

I agree that NBP was robbed from BOD, especially after playing battered and bruised. But the Good Doctor is as the Good Doctor does, and in this case we must trust the BODSHC to make the right decision - and who can ever argue when the Good Doctor is chosen? Eh?
