Congrats to Cuddy and his bride!

This an article praising Santana except he has no idea what his stats were and did absolutely no research or fact finding when he did the article. I could not believe it when I read according to the article that:

1. Santana had one less win then last year
2. This is Santana's second CONSECUTIVE Cy Young

Congrats to Gardy, who was a closer 2nd in the Mgr of the year award to Leyland (-25) than Willie Randolph was to Girardi (-30).

I think the reason I like Michael so much is he seems like such a regular guy. My wedding webpage looked almost identical.

Hey, Nora. I'm confused... I read the article about El Presidente, and I see nothing in there that says anything about Santana winning consecutive Cy Youngs (it says he's the "two-time champion", but that doesn't imply they were in a row) or about how many games he won this year versus last. Did I miss something?

And second, anyone who wants Matty back is...well...just plain nuts. He seems a good guy and all, but why in the world would we want a guy who, when perfectly healthy, runs worse than Frank Thomas, and can only hit lefties? He played about 4 games for the Nats this past season, and the Nats were a terrible team - that tells you all you need to know. Give me Rondell, Tyner, Kubel...any of those guys over Matty. (Sorry, big fella.)

Closest thing I saw in the Santana article was something like "best in the league two years in a row" *implying* he won the Cy last year. As written, though, I think we would all agree (ie last year he was robbed!!).

Yeah, I've never been to a wedding before where the father was the best man. My sisters and I were at one of the other all-inclusives in Ochos Rios about 1 1/2 years ago and it's a beautiful place to get married. We liked our place better because it was all adults whereas Beaches accepts kids and has a lot of kid related activities. (I know, children have their place...but it was nice not to have them running around everywhere when you're at a sophisticated resort...)

wow, she not only looks like a regular-type female person, she selected some nice kitchen items -- it's always good when someone who can afford the bigger stuff doesn't ask their family to buy it for them ...

but no one could be bothered to toss the cheap-as-dirt bamboo skewers onto their gift order?? really? it's not like they asked for the pineapple-topped stainless steel with chrome-plated zinc handles skewers, after all.

If she could just move a little out of the way in that picture...

Adidasman, I read the article also, and am in 100% agreement with your observations.I do think that Johan is generally considered the game's best pitcher over thelast 3 years, and is one short on Cys he deserved.

Hmmmm...and there I was, thinking that I could have done with a wee bit more of her and a bit less of him. I suppose it's a matter of perspective, eh? Cuddy does look quite happy, so that's wonderful - heartiest of congratulations to them. And yes, it's nice that she looks like an actual person, unlike many of the Tara Reid types that ballplayers seem to end up with. (Remember Chuck Finley and Tawny "Whitesnake" Kitaen?) I'm just shocked that there's isn't a DH and/or a starting pitcher on that gift registry; come on, Michael, where's your focus? Maybe Carl would have splurged and given you Ryan Howard or something; you never know unless you ask.

Laurie, if it's any condolance to you, you'll find a new boyfriend soon, I'm sure of it. Just look at all the adorable MLB players out there! And a majority of them are Twins! Of course, I do understand that no one could ever truly replace DJ Cuddles in your heart.

Yea for Cuddy! The gift registry-I've been wondering about that lately (weird, I know). How does a pro baseball players who makes millions do a wedding registry? Do you think they registered at Target? I'm going to go check.

I see Cuddy went 0-3 against the Yankees the day after getting engaged. That proves something, I'm sure. Not sure what, but something.
