Ok it's a silly name but how sweet of Travis Hafner- it sounds like it would be a fun time!!

There is nothing silly or sweet about Travis Hafner. I'm absolutely terrified of that guy. Hafner in a Santa suit is like a room full of clowns and spiders to me-I just want to cry thinking about it.

I can easily imagine Travis Hafner as the robotic Santa from Futurama. Of course, he's from North Dakota, not Neptune... about the same temperature, eh?

Has anyone confirmed that this isn't some sort of devious trap being set by Hafner? "Ugh, it's me, kids, Pronkta Claus. I'm so nice and unassuming...GIVE ME YOUR SOULS!" I mean, have you seen the guy? Would anyone really be surprised to see a headline reading "Hafner Crushes Children's Spirits"? Isn't it more surprising that we haven't read that headline yet?

Seriously, though, that's cool of Hafner. Not enough to make me rescind my 'kitten-kicker' nickname for him, but it's a good first step.

Nice to know, too, that they are still getting some use out of that oversized suit left over from the Santa Thome days ...

I looked at the food there and I got really hungery for a nice breakfast.

Thome's thing was to do an autograph-for-present swap at the mall, purchase a bunch more and then deliver the gifts to youth groups & hospitals with his wife as Mrs Claus ('tho not in the Anna Benson mode, thank goodness)

I am kinda interested in seeing a photo of Hafner in a Santa suit, though. I can use it to threaten little kids if they're bad. "Do you want the real Santa or THIS guy to come by at night? The real one? Then I suggest you shape up." It could come in handy...

I bet their "holiday shaped" pancakes are going to be shaped like bulb ornaments and snowballs.

Hafner seems better suited (no pun intended) to an Abominable Snow Monster costume; I can just see him wreaking havoc on Christmastown and fighting off Rudolph and Hermie the dentist. And then, at the end, he's just a big, lumbering, benign oaf putting stars atop Christmas trees...perfect.

And then the kids are "treated" to that Slider mascot, as well.

What have the children of Cleveland done to get THAT in their holiday sock? Wouldn't they rather be with Santana Claus, TC Bear, and a sleigh pulled by piranhta with tiny ice cutters?
