Hell yes.

Posted by: sacky at May 28, 2006 04:14 PM

And that's the Ford Long Sunday Drive of the Game.

Posted by: neutrino boi at May 28, 2006 04:34 PM

no arguments here.

Posted by: aurora at May 28, 2006 05:04 PM

damn straight! thanks, Lew!

Posted by: kafumbly at May 28, 2006 05:14 PM

Yay!

Some good play by our guys this weekend, so good to see.

Posted by: Laurel Krahn at May 28, 2006 05:18 PM

I'll echo Jeb: BOYFRIEND!!!

Can't say I was disappointed in my other two, either. I wish LNP had dome more offensively, but NBP took care of that. Also, kudos to the Chairman's 3-4 performance.

Coming to Metrodomes everywhere this Memorial Day weekend - The Extra Inning Walkoff Home Run. The ending just bLew me away.

Posted by: twayn at May 28, 2006 05:21 PM

I took one look at lew today and i said...Bat-girl will make him boyfriend of the day. Oh yes she will

Posted by: Bojee at May 28, 2006 06:37 PM

I gotta say... with one swing of the bat he went from Lew "cantwefindsomeonebettertoleadoff" Ford to BOD.

Posted by: JimCrikket at May 28, 2006 07:56 PM

So I was filling out my All Star ballot today at CBP, where Jeb's other boyfriend hit a HR, and I realised that I can't decide on who should be the AL Catcher.

I'm stuck. Should it be Pudge, VMart, Mauer, or Posada ? They all are playing well and its just not as easy as the NL catcher--- Michael"I punched AJ" Barret must win.

Posted by: public enemy mike at May 28, 2006 08:58 PM

Wait before you fill out your ballot it's the end of may. still a month before the allstar game but if The Chairman is still hitting .340 you have to give it to him homers are overated.

Posted by: Paul at May 28, 2006 10:30 PM

Dear Mr. Mike,

The Chairman has never gone. I think he should.

Helpfully,
BG

Posted by: Batgirl at May 28, 2006 10:34 PM

Congrats Lew/Jeb! And BG, I agree-The Chairman should go, just to prove that being consistantly awesome can be rewarded at some points too :)

Posted by: Teece at May 28, 2006 11:18 PM

I had to leave for work literally 10 minutes before this all happened. My dad stopped in while he was out and let me know the results...

I was just speechless. And a bit bummed I missed it. But if me leaving lifted whatever jinx I must've placed on the team...I'm all the better.

I still regret that I may never know what the heck happened in the top of the third. Because I heard the first two batters on the radio...and it was a couple of base hits.

What the heck happened in the top of the 10th?

Re: Mauer for All-Star Game

Another one of the many quality Twins bloggers out there wrote up a very persuasive case for him. Click my name for link.

Posted by: neutrino boi at May 29, 2006 12:02 AM

Lew is always my BOD. But some days are extra-special.

Posted by: lewfan at May 29, 2006 06:58 AM

> if The Chairman is still hitting .340

The Chairman is actually hitting .350. *giggle*

Posted by: kafumbly at May 29, 2006 09:00 AM

Dear Mr. Hu,

The first two batters got on (double and a walk? BG can't remember) then long fly out to Cuddy (and good catch) long fly out to Torii (good catch) and long fly out to Torii redux.

Sincerely,
BG

Johan's hair was indeed the topic of conversation between RD and Sweet-N-Sassy, which was nice because it seemed to indicate that we felt the game was in hand, even when the Twins were trailing. There was even a lazy-Sunday nap to be taken midgame. It was a weekend when the Twins made things look pretty easy, which was aided by the Mariners' situational playbook. When Ichiro is making bad decisions on the bases, that means EVERYONE must be playing tight. It was a nice weekend for the Mariners to come through town.

As for the hair, if we didn't know better, we might have thought that was a hairpiece gone bad. As funny as it looked in the dugout, I really wanted Johan to walk out through the Metrodome doors to see the wind-aided look.

Maybe another time.

In the meantime, RD wishes his biggest worry about Radke tonight was his hair! Enjoy the Holiday afternoon.

Dear BG

I hear ya about the catcher...

Now 1st base is tough this year because NL park no DH so

1st The TravisHafner, Thome, Fat Ass Ortiz, or Giambi
2nd Cano
SS Jeter, The 2006 AL MVP
3rd A-Rod, Figgins, Blaylock, or Inge
OF Vlad, Manny, Gary Wigglebat, Damon, Torii, Veron Wells or Ichiro

Nl Is easy this year
1st Pujols
2nd Utley
SS Reyes
3rd D Wright
OF Soriano, Beltran, C Lee
C Michael " the AJ Slayer" Barrett

Dear RD,

Radke's hair is always perfect.
I predict his pitching tonight will mirror his hair.
Okay, maybe he won't be perfect, but I predict he will be way better than he has been lately.

Please baseball gods, tonight, and for the remainder of his starts this season, help Bradke be the amazing pitcher we know he can be.

Love,
bubblemint
