Liriano was great, and the grand slam was cool too, but what is better than THE TWINS WILL HAVE A STADIUM ???

Michael Cuddyer stood up, saw that Liriano was in position for the win, and was happy. He then read the update on startribune.com detailing the results of the conference committee and said, "Truly, this is a day to be remembered. A day to hit go-ahead home runs."

Then just to cement the conclusion that these Twins, these beautiful Lohse-less Twins, are The Revealed Truth, T-Fat comes in and does what T-Fats all around the world are wont to do, which is hitting grand slams.

Perhaps wishes of a team sans T-Fat should be whispered more often, if he insists on hitting grand slams on the same evening.

My guess is that it won't be long (5 days or so) before "Bet they wish he was still in San" Francisco Liriano gets his solo BOD.

In the spirit of multiple boyfriends, I'm with Chris, and say Cuddles deserves it as well (since they can't give him the 'W').

I never doubted the power of LegoVision, which is like penicillin for sucking, but this last installment was really potent. To conjure a Grand Slam from Batista is just magical. Are there Druids in your ancestry, BG?

It was awesome being in person at Liri's start. I was surrounded by Twins fans and I joked with one that Liri was going to do better in his first at bat than Rondell White has been doing-at the got the RBI single. Watching him pitch makes me wonder if Silva will ever be a starter again.

Also, I still am shocked to have witnessed a Batista grand slam.

I will be in the stands again tonight at Miller Park, so go Twins!!

In T-Phat's defense, he did make a couple of great plays (including a big double play on a scorching grounder)

They need to get their act together and show the highlight from the side of the team that played it.

Insted, it's the Brewers annoucers, and they couldn't have sounded less enthused by what happened.

Although not quite worthy of BOD accolades last night, I thought Lewwwwwww would at least win a Star of the Game for taking TWO for the team and his lovely sliding catch. But alas - it was not to be. Do it again tonight Lew - but throw in a Grand Slam just for good measure.

BODSHC--you all made the right choice with co-BODs of T-Phat and Cisco Kid. I agree with Jaguar that Lew Fordwalker deserves mention for taking two for the team and the great catch. Cuddles deserves mention for the HR smash--the actual game winning hit.

At Twins website--Cuddles suggests calling Liriano "Franchise"--may be premature but if this continues...

Hey, if it takes 2, 3, 4, 10 or even 26 BoDs per game, I'm all for it. Any game with >= 1 BoD is a good game.

Twinsboy, I agree that hell may indeed have frozen over, but the "sign" that provides that indication to me is that the Minnesota Legislature has actually passed a Twins stadium bill!

Can you imagine? Baseball on grass under the sky? What a concept.

Before T-Fat gets a BOD nod, shouldn't somebody out there actually claim him as a Boyfriend first?

Excuse me, but I must break protocol and insist that the Chairman and Cuddles would have been better co-BOD's. One had 3 hits and a stolen base, the other hit the go-ahead HR, and both have documented legions of fans who claim them as Boyfriends and Man-Crushes.
