It's not so much that Minnesota will be losing a BatGirl, it's that Twins Country will be gaining a family of secret agents deep in the heart of Red Sox Nation.

Any thoughts on the June 23-25 series against the Cubs? I will be in town that weekend, and I'm hoping to take my last deep antiseptic breath inside the HHH.

Be sure to get pizza at Antonio's on North Pleasant street. Some of the best pizza I've ever had. D.P. Dough's does a good calzone, especially at 1 A.M., and Bueno y Sano is decent mexican food.
And of course, spend as much time in Northampton as possible.

Unless things have changed in the 10 years since I was at Amherst College.

June 11 is also Bradke bobblehead day.

I wish I could join you for the birthday bash too, but I have other plans that afternoon. If only I had known a few days ago, I would not have made that commitment.

But I will certainly try to attend the farewell bash.

I'm a bit of a grizzled veteran when it comes to moving cross-country with cats. Don't listen to any advice you may get, as each cat is quite different. Some whine, some shed, some sneeze, some take a "litter strike" the entire trip, some want to sit on your head, some sleep...

To MikeinMa: While this is the "Commonwealth of Massachusetts", the official (or unofficial, I don't care) nickname is "The Bay State". Regardless, I'm a transplanted Minnesotan, so officially it's six of one, yesterday's Tigers-victory-over-the-Twins of the other to me.

Amherst, geez, there's no baseball there. You've got the Basketball Hall of Fame down I-91, but that's not true compensation. I recommend Bat-Girl and co. get themselves to Fenway at least a couple times during their stay.

BG: I feel your pain. The drinkowaters are moving to southern California, permanantly, later in the summer. Although there is baseball there (Angels, Dodgers and Dads), I will still be purchasing a pass to the extra innings as well. Angels baseball just is not the same as Twins baseball. Although their stadium DOES rock!

Congratulations, Jeb! When you mentioned it before, I was wondering how that would play out. I see now.

BG, that is a long way to go for a guy in a bunny suit. I will have to bring lots of movies!

though it is a sad loss for minnesota, all us minnesotan ex-patriates here in massachusetts are thrilled to welcome batgirl, jeb, and the batkitties to our neck of the woods. and hey, the twins are at fenway in september (like monsieur Yankeefan pointed out). head on over to boston for a game, batfamily! if you need help finding tickets, let me know.

What a craptastic week so far, The Twins are very much in sucking times, my poor little rat Gertie's psoriasis is acting up, I can't get my seedlings to sprout in my window boxes and now Batgirl is leaving us. We will miss you dearly, good luck with the move and please please do not go to the red side. I would like to attend the June 11th game, however it is bobblehead so I will be at a different section. However count me in on a good-bye party, hopefully your close personal friend will be there as I'd like to thank her in person because I love her books.

p.s. For the batkitties I highly suggest a light sedative otherwise it's going to be a long ride especially with their history of kitty blackhead problems.

I uset-a live out in Western Mass., and let me give a BIG recommend to going to a baseball game in Pittsfield.

Ball Four author Jim Bouton bought and restored a classic vinatge minor league ballpark there, and it's like a blast from the past to go and catch a game.
