Batgirl would dearly like to credit the person who sent her these pictures through a photo website, but she has no idea who that is. So, thank you anonymous person with fab spring training tickets!

Guh. All these glorious pictures, and it's snowing here.

I am a bit frightened by that Tampa Bay batter's ability to become invisible at the plate. I mean, what if he can do that on the basepaths as well? You'll have to just watch for tracks in the dirt.

All these pictures have me so anxious. I can't wait for the season to start. If only I weren't 6 time zones in the wrong direction causing most games to be on in the middle of the night. Stupid England and their no baseball.

Oh! So that's where the vintage 1997 RED jerseys ended up.

The baseball mafia had to "silence" some of the Ray's players.

I went to the minor league spring training game today and lo and behold...who was warming up in the bullpen but El Presidente and on top of that...The Chairman was catching!! I had such a treat!! I took about a bazillion fantastic pictures...up close and personal shots right from outside the bullpen and a wonderful shot of El Presidente as he is drinking his gatorade between innings. I would send them...but I am on dial up and they take forever!!! lol Anyway...wanted to share my special treat of the day!!

Posted by: Caroline at March 25, 2006 08:45 PM

LOL on the red jerseys!! For those who don't know the way that minor league spring training works...dark blue jerseys with "Twins" across the front is AAA, Red jerseys is AA, Dark blue with Minnesota across the front is high A, gray is low A and white is GCL. It is such a treat to come to the minor league spring training. I had such a nice chat with one of our new Aussie boys...a pitcher who will be playing on GCL this year. The environment is so wonderful!

I love both Lohse and Kasmir, unfortnutly neither had their "A" game that day. I'm telling you all Lohse is going to have an awesome year (knock on wood). On another note Arroyo made his first start as a Red today against the Twins, but didn't do too well. I'm so bitter @ the Red Sox right now! I just don't know what to think! 17 DAYS TILL HOME OPENER!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering about that Caroline--thanks for the insight. Will keep it in mind for next year.

these pics that have been sent in over spring training are all wonderful, but they are sadly lacking in the Jesse Crain department.

just an observation.

I saw the "Dude, that was the wrong bathroom..." caption before the picture loaded, and I thought for sure it was going to be a picture of Lew Ford. heh

Hey Batgirl, that's the exact bathroom that JC Romero was "locked out of" last year when he tried to get in. My fiancee informed me that it didn't lock so she wouldn't use it, but I watched Romero struggle to get in before deciding to use the one designated for his gender.

So I happen to be a huge Rocco Baldelli fan. Was he good in this game? Anybody know?

I wish Rivas could have played. I miss than guy so much it's sad

On a side note, that handwriting on the easy-erase board picture at the top is very fancy.

Did the Twins take calligraphy class in the winter?

I also wanted to ask...are we sure that the first picture is Beau Kemp? I ask because Beau is a pitcher...a closer...a very good closer I might add. I just couldn't imagine him batting? Maybe someone else? I have looked but can't figure out who it is...maybe someone else knows?

Posted by: Caroline at March 30, 2006 06:10 AM

Thats Beau, pitchers actually bat in spring training games...good times :)
