Way to go, Kurtis! That might be the funnest one yet!
It's all about hitting the Yankee and B-Sox hats for bonus snowballs!

Here comes Santana Claus
Here comes Santana Claus
Right down strikeout lane
Fastball and changeup and all his pitches
Making batters insane
Bells are ringing and children singing
All is merry and bright
So wave your hankies and say your prayers
'Cause Santana Claus comes tonight!

Posted by: Saajak at December 21, 2005 01:46 PM

I always did think "Here comes Santa Claus" sounded like a threat. I am sure "Here comes Santana Claus" is!

Posted by: sacky at December 21, 2005 02:05 PM

Dear Mr. Kurtis,

I am so glad Santana doesn't really throw like I make him throw.

Concerned,
Batgirl

BG's in the lead and I've only voted once :-)

You are hereby promoted from Batgirl all the way to BatLady.

Brava Batgirl!
Santana Claus made me laugh-love the music.
Also the "Here comes Santana Claus" poem is great Saajak.

Posted by: Linda at December 21, 2005 09:33 PM

Batgirl, just want to say that it's an honor to have you putting your blogging efforts toward the twins. as twins fans, we're lucky! especially since you're not crabby like Aaron Gleeman is (though i like his blog, too).

on another note, are you going to have a Batling rendezvous at TwinsFest?

Posted by: TeeNutts at December 21, 2005 09:56 PM

This is obivously the best BLOG ever. Way to go Batgirl!

To mike/yankeefan: I'm sure others will disagree, but I wanted you to know that I thought the resigning of Bernie Williams was classy.

Posted by: Bob at December 21, 2005 11:33 PM

Yeah Bob it was a nice touch, I agree. He will do some dh work and back up Cap't Caveman in CF. At 1.5 million it doesn't hurt much either. I have a feeling that when he is done he will be a coach somewhere in the the org. Bernie is a good guy and has been a rock on this team. I'm glad he is back.

Posted by: public enemy mike at December 22, 2005 01:15 AM

Wow, 7:25a 12/22 and Bat-Girl is crushing the competition, time to bring in the Vice-President to close this thing out!

Posted by: Freealonzo at December 22, 2005 07:25 AM

Bob,

I agree. It was equally as classy for Bernie to sign with the Yanks for (reportedly) only $1.5M. No doubt he could have grabbed more cash elsewhere (would you have like to have seen Ryan sign Bernie for $1.5M to DH?). Both sides basically said they want to stay together and worked out a deal to benefit both. It is rare these days to see such a display in sports, and the Yanks take so much heat, it is nice to see the Yanks (and Yankee player Bernie) do something that the everyFan can appreciate.
