B.O.D.

Well, for once, there were too many good performances. I mean, our offense was—well, an offense. We had six whole runs tonight, and those runs were scored by five different Twins. Which means five different Twins actually converted with runners on base. Which makes Batgirl a little giddy. So giddy, in fact, that she's going to use the chance to honor someone who probably could have been B.O.D. many times this season for the number of times he's saved our collective buttocks by just getting the job done—sometimes in fine style. For his twelfth win on the season, Batgirl is giving Jesse Crain his very first Boyfriend of the Day.

YAY!!!! *doing happy dance*

I barely have words... excellent choice, BG! Jesse was totally HOT tonight, as usual. and to think, I was mourning the thought that he'd probably have to wait until next year to be BOD.

great work, Jesse!

Actually, the 6 runs were scored by only 4 different players (2 by L-Rod, 2 by JJ, 1 by the good doctor and 1 by Mr. Tyner). One wasn't actually *driven* in so much as *allowed* in (by virtue of Crazy Pepe's Chug and Toss' sister game, Lima Time) and the ones that were driven in were done so by 4 different players (1 each by JJ, Lewwww and Dr. Morneau, 2 by Cuddy Sark).

Also, I'm going to infer that by "converting with runners on base" you mean "driving in runs in ways besides hitting solo dingers", so using your example of 5 runs scored by different players, when you said that "means five different Twins actually converted with runners on base", that's not necessarily the case. One example is, let's say the bases are loaded and someone jacks one (thus complying with Happy Kitten in one swing)... those 4 runs are scored by 4 different players and only 1 twin actually converted with runners on base.

Another example is that let's say my geek Lewww came up with Chairman and JJ on base and then laid a bunt so far down the first base line that it bounced around the corner in right field, giving him a triple. Then in his next at-bat, LNP and L-Rod are on base but there are two out because Chairman and JJ each hit one back up the box so hard that Lima's now walking around with two Rawlings products embedded in his carapace like apples lodged in Gregor Samsa's exoskeleton. So Lewww pops up a bunt that gets over the centerfielder's head, all the way to the wall and he gets a 2-RBI double out of it. In his next two at-bats, he proceeds to bunt for the cycle, plating JJ again when he singled but scoring only himself when he homered. Lewww has now single-handedly bunted in 6 runs scored by 5 different twins and he converted with runners on base 3 times.

Inspired choice, Batgirl. If he hadn't hit a rough patch just before the All Star game, Jesse might have joined Johan in Detroit.

So congratulations to Jesse Crain: B.O.D., near All Star, and (with as many victories as Clemens) undisputed King of the Vultures.
