Dingers for Dollars Update--Tuesday

Dingers for Dollars! Li'l Sweetcheeks went long today for his second dinger of the Dingers for Dollars program. So far, Jacque, the Doctor, and Cuddles have all hit two dingers for hurricane aid, and BG thinks it's time for the rest of the players to step up to the plate. Thanks to Li'l Sweetcheeks, we now have: $1961 TOTAL
Please note:Today is the last day for the proceeds of items purchased in the BatStore to go to hurricane relief. Click on the shirt to the left to visit the BatStore.

RD is thrilled that no one made any pledges based on Twins outfielders hitting the cut-off man on their throws. Last night was a total embarrassment. At $5 per miss, I think a pledger would have been out $25 by game's end.

It was more interesting (and less frustrating) for RD to watch the progress Sweet-N-Sassy was making on her knitting than to watch J-Jo, Lew and MethodMan(Tyner)launch couldn't-care-less throws and miscommunicate in the outfield. That should piss off the pitchers as much as the lack of hitting. J-Jo's dinger didn't come close to making up for his Culpepperonian throws.

Hey BG, does your total above include bat-merchandise proceeds?

Dear Ms. Twink,

No. That's $108 thus far.

Sincerely,
BG

Maybe the rest of the players don't know about this yet? I'm absolutely positive that Matthew would hit a homerun if he only knew how much was riding on it.

Since I came up completely empty with last weekend's set in the HumpDome, I'll try this one more time. With the venues reversed, I'll reverse the teams.

I hereby pledge $5 for every home run hit by a Twins player off White Sox pitching for this weekend's set at US Cellular. This pledge is subject to revocation should I meet untimely death as a result of alcohol poisoning or a coronary as a result of being present at the Tribe-Sox tilt tonight.

Bitch Sox Pride,
