Hottest Chick Goes Live!

The Twins had their annual rookie hazing after Sunday's game, and Batling Candace was there to take pictures.

Jason Bartlett and Terry Tiffee think Scott Baker looks adorable in this vintage sailor suit. Permission to come aboard!

His sinker plunges and so does his neckline! Jesse Crain is pretty in pink.

Li'l Rod is all smiles in his glam ensemble, while behind him Liriano shows that the perfect hat can transform any outfit from drab to fab.

Travis Bowyer shows that it's fine to wear mini-skirts over 95-MPH.

Thanks Candace - =)
I have to remember not to give my tickets away next year - this is always a good time!

I think Terry Tiffe should have let Jesse wear the wig - sans pigtails of course - hmm I think they made Jess were a ball gown last year too!

Much Love

I think Bartlett is rocking that outfit better than I ever could. And I think that's really sad.

Posted by: X10 at September 19, 2005 02:34 PM

Is it... wrong... of me to find both Rex and Liriano... attractive in that getup? I think it's Rex's shoulders. That must be it.

Posted by: Katharriet at September 19, 2005 02:46 PM

laughing..hahah..too funny!

Liriano is a hottie in the red leather!hahaha

"In the navy
Yes, you can sail the seven seas
In the navy
Yes, you can put your mind at ease
In the navy
Come on now, people, make a stand
In the navy, in the navy
Can't you see we need a hand
In the navy
Come on, protect the motherland
In the navy
Come on and join your fellow man
In the navy
Come on people, and make a stand
In the navy, in the navy, in the navy (in the navy)

They want you, they want you
They want you as a new recruit"

That's a mighty revealing neckline Lil Rod's got. Yowza, for a second there I thought (or was hoping) he was naked.

Posted by: HooliganKat at September 19, 2005 03:35 PM

Jesse's as beautiful as his slider. *sigh*

Posted by: kafumbly at September 19, 2005 03:47 PM

Thank you, Candace! Those are beautifully scary!

Posted by: Just Beth at September 19, 2005 03:56 PM

Yeah, I think I'm diggin' those shoulders, too. mmmm

Aw. Cuuuuuute!

BTW... anyone else catch this year's version of the "Thanks, Fans" commercial?

Somehow it didn't make me quite as weepy as the 2004 version did. Huh.

(Yeah... they dang well BETTER thank us...)

Posted by: TwinsGoddess at September 19, 2005 04:00 PM

I really like this year's commercial....maybe it's because Lew is in it and he's pointing and talking and saying more than just thank you...*shrugs* (And I know he was in last year's too...)

I did get all weepy from last year's...but I still think this year's is really sweet *nods*

And I'm gonna stop rambling. Oh, and you're welcome for the pictures :)

Posted by: Candace at September 19, 2005 04:06 PM

I was there the year the rookies were wearing hooters outfits, I have to admit Grant Balfour looked pretty good in his as I recall. Thanks for the pictures Candace!

Posted by: Sarah at September 19, 2005 04:22 PM

Ah, that was priceless! I have to say, Baker did look pretty adorable in the sailor outfit.

Posted by: Sam at September 19, 2005 04:26 PM

DO THE TWINS HAVE A CERTAIN EVERY YEAR WHERE THEY HAZE THE ROOKIES BECAUSE I WOULD LOVED TO HAVE SEEN THIS IN PERSON? ITS A LITTLE SAD THAT BARTLETT LOOKS BETTER IN THAT DRESS THAN MOST WOMEN DO. HE HAS EVEN GOT BOOTY TO SHOW OFF.

Posted by: ELLIE at September 19, 2005 04:27 PM

Holy crap, why must it be live? Why Batgirl, why?

Posted by: Hannah (the second) at September 19, 2005 04:37 PM

If Mauer wore a hospital gown last year...he did...have clothing on underneath it...right? Because...yeah. What an exit that would've been.

Posted by: X10 at September 19, 2005 04:48 PM

it's not even an offday! why do i keep reading??? oh, that was hysterical! thanks candace!

Posted by: Hannah! at September 19, 2005 04:51 PM

What other rookies were all dressed up, Candace? Oh my, I'm so getting tickets to see this next year. That is ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS. Thanks for sharing. -lauhgs at pictures-

ARRRGH! WE WERE THERE! WHY DID WE NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS?!??

BatGirl: Come for the LegoVision, Stay for the Men in Skirts?

Posted by: Will at September 19, 2005 05:38 PM

Twinsfan:

The rookies that were dressed up were:

Travis Bowyer
Francisco Liriano
Jason Bartlett
Chris Heintz
Luis Rodriguez
Terry Tiffee
Scott Baker
Jesse Crain
Matt Guerrier

I think that was all of them :)

Posted by: Candace at September 19, 2005 06:06 PM

It's even more unsettling when they really do look female. And that's saying something.

Posted by: neutrino boi at September 19, 2005 06:15 PM

BEAUTIFUL!!!

Posted by: Mrs Mauer at September 19, 2005 07:25 PM

Man Scottie's really rocking the sailor suit there...

"Permission to strike out, Captain!" :P

Posted by: DhruvK at September 19, 2005 07:56 PM

Baker looks SO adorable! I just want to take him home with me!

Posted by: Stacy at September 19, 2005 09:34 PM

The sad part of it is that Bowyer probably looks a lot better than most girls in a mini skirt.

Posted by: Renae at September 19, 2005 10:00 PM

red pleather. ugh...

so glad the guys can still have fun despite the disappointment of falling out of the race!

Posted by: sacky at September 19, 2005 10:50 PM

reminds me of last year when Cleveland rookie Kyle Denney took a stray bullet in the leg, but his knee-high leather go-go boots saved him from serious injury.

here's a link to the story, just for S&G's: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6137057/

Posted by: kafumbly at September 20, 2005 12:56 AM

thanks for reminding me of that story, kafumbly! hahaha

Posted by: sacky at September 20, 2005 08:26 AM

Kafumbly, I completely forgot about that. It was such a strange incident, but a great story. I bet that man never lives that down.

Posted by: HooliganKat at September 20, 2005 08:27 AM

Now that's HOT!!!!!
