B.O.D.

The Twins scored four runs today. You hit in two, scored one, and saved a Bitch Sox run with a sweeeeet throw, and that makes you, Lew Fordwalker, the Boyfriend of the Day.

Field/Readers 17, Sooz/Stewie 11, Jeb/Lewwww 11, Batgirl/ Joe 9, Goober/Dr. Morneau 7.

No backtalk from me here, but I also have to give a nod to Little Nicky Punto for some excellent base running.

totally a nod to Little Nicky Punto... 3 hits, 3 SB, 1 run, and some great defense (well, except that one throw to first, but he more than made up for it).

but yay LEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! and yay Twins!

Young Fordwalker has learned well the ways of the Schwartz. One down, twelve to go.

I agree with all of the above. Young Master Fordwalker obviously deserves the honors, but LNP... 3 stolen bases? Wow.

You know, Juan Rincon has almost pitched 1000 at bats in his time in the majors, and he's given up less than 20 home runs. That's pretty fantastic.

LEWWWWW!!!!! :-D

At first I was rooting for an LNP BOD, even though Lew is my NSMC. But then I thought more about it. That throw to nail the runner at home may have saved the game, given that Crazy Kyle-Killer Carl Everett would've come up as the tying run.

Victory is ours!
Also, the Twins won!

Horray for the Jedi! And no Darth Thomas in sight!

yes - I must protest - BG - my vote is for Little Nicky Punto ;-)

You and Jack Morris must have been on the phone conversing - because he too picked Lew as the number one star of the game.

Much love

My heart aches for LNP and the shaft that he's gotten.

But yay Lew, as I am forbidden to argue.

My boyfriend is BOD again!

My boyfriend is BOD again!

Say it with me, Jeb!

My boyfriend is BOD AGAIN!

I find myself giddy with delight that we are arguing over who deserves BOD. An argument could be made for Kyle Lohse (who'd've thought we'd say THAT coming into this year?), if nothing else for getting out of the first inning alive! It's nice to have so many guys playing with the heart and soul we know they have that we can argue. Congratulations, Lewwww, on winning the honor. You deserve it.

I *knew* that Lew would be B.O.D. Even though my Little Nicky was *hawt* tonight, Ford did arguably contribute the most to the Twins' win. (3 hits and 3 stolen bases are nice, but if your teammates strand you on base twice, what can you do?)

Posted by: Salt-Man Z at August 16, 2005 09:10 AM

I remember last year when every game that Lohse pitched would automatically be registered as a loss in my mind before he threw his first pitch. We all need to recognize that, today, Lyle has left the building and Kyle is here to stay, at least through September. Last year I never would have envisioned the day when I read a post-game recap on espn.com that said Lohse had been out-dueled. Let's start hitting and catch those damn Yankees and the Los Angeles A-holes of Aneheim for the wild card, then beat the Second City Bitches in the AL Championship Series. (Naturally the A's will win the AL West, so we shouldn't worry about them)

With new found hope,
FL
