Dude! I am so getting one of those!

Y'know... *bats eyelashes* if you had a shirt that says "My boyfriend mouths off to umpires", I could buy one of each...

Great idea, She-Ra and Wonder Woman! I think Carrie may be on to something too!

Posted by: ndtf at July 22, 2005 08:36 AM

hmm... one that says I WISH my boyfriend would take Naked Batting Practice?!?!

Posted by: CapitalBabs at July 22, 2005 09:14 AM

Great Shirt Would love to sell in my baseball bat store - http://www.coachesdiscount.com

Love the idea. I was wondering why the Santana/Nathan shirts are ok, but the named boyfriend ones weren't?

Posted by: metsfan at July 22, 2005 09:27 AM

Santana/Nathan COULD refer to anyone.

It's the first and last name that MLB has control of.

So, a shirt saying "Justin is my BF" is OK. "Justin Morneau is my BF" is not.

Unions...

Dear Mr. Guy,

Indeed.

I shall be making revised BF and NSMC t-shirts very soon.

Sincerely,
BG

Yippee! I thought I had totally missed my window of opportunity on the boyfriend shirts.

Thank you Batgirl.

BG: Yaaaaaaaaaay!

How about some Gardy themed t-shirts?

"My manager does not want showtime!" or "My manager just wants showtime!"

He lets enough good stuff fly that you should be able to just launch a line of stuff with his quotes on it.

If I was some high-ranking muckety-muck at the MLB, I think I'd prance into the Twins clubhouse - a broad-lapelled, pinstriped suit, a silver tie, and gaudy, over-stated cufflinks - and hand Mays, Mullholland, and Crain - all three of them - Losses.

All three of them. Terrible.

Posted by: Haplo at July 22, 2005 10:18 PM

Crain? That's a little harsh. Yeah, he did give up two walks but keep in mind that he didn't give up any runs.

BG, sorry for being off topic but I needed to point that out.

Posted by: olbiemn at July 22, 2005 11:00 PM

I love Jesse Crain. I love him more than I loved Kyle Lohse last season after that three-game series v. the Royals where we CG shut-outted them. And that was a lot.

What I'm saying is, if you're Jesse Crain, and your ballclub needs you to come in and stanch the bleeding - slap a tournequet on it, 'cuz the limb's lost - you don't give up two walks. When the zeitgeist of Twins Territory is best symbolized by a ever-slower beating heart laying in the muck beneath a bowling alley urinal, and you're Jesse Crain, He of the Golden Arm, and you give up two walks... well... that's some honky-tonk.

I expect better of Jess'em.
