Finally!

Greetings! Is the game on TV today?

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2005 11:35 AM

Woooo Hoooo

I have a question. Would the game be blacked out in the MN market on the MLB TV thing via the web?

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 11:36 AM

Those Max Bats are very cool. I have seen them when my son attends baseball camps.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 11:42 AM

Thank God there's a game today. I was starting to have withdrawal symptoms! I only wish I wasn't at work so I could be watching it on TV. Oh well, I guess I'll have to eat at my desk today so I can listen to it on the radio.

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 11:49 AM

The game isn't televised here...I don't know if Detroit will have a feed for MLB or not!

Posted by: Batgirl at April 25, 2005 12:01 PM

If you are in the Twin Cities, it is not on tv and not on the MLB TV (we are blacked out...even though there is NO COMPETITION!!!!)

It will be me and my CBS Sportsline gamecast I guess, with John Gordon and Black Jack on CCO

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:01 PM

Thank God that every single game is on 'CCO.
I never open the Strib, look ahead at the week and see a few "no radio" days.

Posted by: amr at April 25, 2005 12:06 PM

Here we go!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:07 PM

It's even an afternoon where I can sit at my desk and work on stuff without interruption while I listen.

Hasn't Bradke beat the Tigers like 30 straight?

- K.

Posted by: Kurtis at April 25, 2005 12:07 PM

The game preview says there is no TV in Detroit either, so maybe we can get a fast one in here, a fast win that is!

I hope FSN will pick up another game they are not supposed to show, we were supposed to get this one....

Anywho, I am just happy there is a game today!!

Posted by: Paul at April 25, 2005 12:08 PM

Are you sure? The Twins site said it would be on FSN. If it isn't then I'm taping a bunch of sports list shows and other lame stuff.

Posted by: bubblemint at April 25, 2005 12:08 PM

Since Punto is in because of Castro's fingernail and Bartlett's sore neck, if Nicky gets eaten are we putting LeRoy in at short?

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:10 PM

bubblemint, you are taping a fishing competition.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:11 PM

Oh joy. I can hardly wait to get home.

Grrrrr....

Posted by: bubblemint at April 25, 2005 12:12 PM

bubblemint, better to know now, than to be surprised at home later!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:13 PM

Boy, walking a .111 hitter in front of Mauer has really got to piss Trammell off.

Posted by: alskntwnsfn at April 25, 2005 12:14 PM

Count me in the ranks of eating lunch at desk, listening to CCO. It's lonely but you guys make it better.

TDOW, I totally thought you said "Bartlett's sore SOCKS" and I went "Whaaa?"

Posted by: MRG at April 25, 2005 12:14 PM

C'mon Justin, bring Nicky around!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:14 PM

I'm making a call - Morneau hits one out.

Posted by: Kurtis at April 25, 2005 12:15 PM

MRG, my typing, like my speech, is often incoherent! :D

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:16 PM

I hate the lag on these gamecast things.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:19 PM

Did I just hear John Gordon say that Bradke just recorded his third strikeout for the game? On the first batter?

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:20 PM

So I-Rod is hitting second? Weird...

Posted by: Nick at April 25, 2005 12:21 PM

I do thank you TDOW.
Forewarned is forearmed. A trip to the video store may be in order on the way home this evening.

Posted by: bubblemint at April 25, 2005 12:22 PM

No problem - hmmm fishing tournament or good movie, fishing tournament or good movie...I am so torn!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:23 PM

C'mon - GIDP GIDP GIDP

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:24 PM

Is it a Double Dip today??

Posted by: alskntwnsfn at April 25, 2005 12:25 PM

No double dip, the Sunday game is TBA

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:26 PM

ass crap ass crap #$%#$%#$%

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:27 PM

Looks like the first-inning monster strikes again. Argh!

Posted by: alskntwnsfn at April 25, 2005 12:28 PM

Urrrrgggg. What kind of timewarp are we stuck in?

Posted by: Pepper at April 25, 2005 12:28 PM

Typical Radke. Gopher ball in the 1st. He really needs to stop that.

Posted by: E at April 25, 2005 12:29 PM

Come from behind wins are nice and all that, but I would rather be ahead the whole game.

Ok Brad, stop channeling Lyle Kohse.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:30 PM

Oh, oh, bad, bad. *pouting*

Posted by: MRG at April 25, 2005 12:30 PM

Dear Brad,

This just isn't amusing anymore. Please stop.

Respectfully,

Roscoe

Posted by: Roscoe at April 25, 2005 12:31 PM

Did anyone tell Brad that this game counts?

Posted by: Shaun at April 25, 2005 12:31 PM

I'm torn, on one hand the twins are losing, but on the other Gullien is on my fantasy team and the person i'm facing has Radke...*sighs*...Ford and Mauer need to do good for me...

Posted by: dregn at April 25, 2005 12:31 PM

The longer you have to wait for it, the more disappointing the disappointment is. This sucks.

Posted by: Andre at April 25, 2005 12:31 PM

Oops.

Posted by: Batgirl at April 25, 2005 12:32 PM

Radke is going to have to check in with the chiropractor after this inning from the excessive head-whips as he looks where the ball is going...

Posted by: beckasani at April 25, 2005 12:32 PM

Off course with Brad on the mound, the Twins will have to scratch for even 1 run. Gosh!

Posted by: Shaun at April 25, 2005 12:33 PM

Ok, let's hope the ass bats are not in the visitor's dugout at Comerica Park today.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:33 PM

I like Radke as much as the next guy or gal, really do. He is favorite of mine. But I may have to start calling him Brad "First inning gopher ball" Radke if he keeps this up.

3-0 after 1 inning...better get teh good bats out today...

Posted by: Paul at April 25, 2005 12:35 PM

If they were to remove the homerun from the game of Baseball...we'd be the best team EVER. Nobody would score on us ;)

Posted by: Torhu at April 25, 2005 12:35 PM

Torhu, so true.....

Alright JJ nice double...

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:36 PM

OK Cuddy, do something good here!

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 12:38 PM

This is going to be a long April. I don't know if our pitching is in whatever groove they were in last year.

And as far as hitting is concerned. I'd imagine it's hard as a batter to go out there EVERYDAY and be down by a couple before you even get up to bat...

We've STILL only had like one or two games where we got out of the oppositions half of the first without giving up a run or two. (Or three or four)

Posted by: Torhu at April 25, 2005 12:39 PM

Wait for your pitch Michael!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:39 PM

Torhu, that's a great point. The new stadium needs to have really, really, really high walls in the outfield. That way, we can use them to hold the other team to doubles, and we'd only give up like half as many runs as we do now.

Posted by: Roscoe at April 25, 2005 12:39 PM

damn

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 12:39 PM

Dear Twins,

If you have to make an out, let's try to make it a "productive" one. Okay? I know coming up when you can't hit into a double play is disturbing, but I think y'all can do it.

Warmest Regards,

E

Posted by: E at April 25, 2005 12:41 PM

Newspapers in the uniforms? Wouldn't there be concerns about papercuts?

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 12:47 PM

Dear Tigers,

I realize you haven't hit much the past 2 days, so I will gladly throw some BP to you today.

Posted by: Brad Radke at April 25, 2005 12:48 PM

Dear Tigers,

I realize you haven't hit much the past 2 days, so I will gladly throw some BP to you today.

...But only if your pitchers promise to do the same in the coming innings (I hope)!

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 12:49 PM

Hey Gardy:

An idea for you. Anytime Bradke comes up in the rotation, have him pitch BP to OUR guys before the game, so he can get the gopher balls out of his system BEFORE the game.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:50 PM

Nook Logan...what a name. (Yes I know this was covered in previous game threads.)

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:54 PM

Alright Nicky!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:54 PM

Sweet! We're on the board... let's go Sideburns!

Posted by: alskntwnsfn at April 25, 2005 12:55 PM

Well the stiff neck and the torn nail paid off. And Punto didn't get eaten...yet.

Posted by: Tamile at April 25, 2005 12:55 PM

tdow: Apparently we have his grandmother to blame for that name.

Come on Chairman!

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 12:55 PM

Dear Tigers,

Do not eat Nicky Punto. Please.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:57 PM

Dang, the good Doctor needed to get a little more mustard on that one.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 12:58 PM

Good try, doc... Thanks for the RBI

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 12:59 PM

A crooked number! We'll take it. C'mon Bradke!

Posted by: alskntwnsfn at April 25, 2005 01:00 PM

alskntwnsfn: Where in Alaska, and what is the weather?

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:01 PM

I am making a proclamation here: Crooked numbers for our offense, and goose eggs for theirs, from here on out!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:02 PM

Dear Twins,

Glad to see you are beginning to understand that whole concept of hitting. Keep it up.

-E

Posted by: E at April 25, 2005 01:03 PM

Nice play for Bradke! Way to get the lead runner.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:04 PM

Tiger fan here listening at work in Michigan and I'm pretty sure I just heard our play by play guy call Santana "Carlos" Santana. I'm going to the station's site to see if I can email him and call him a twit for all of you.

Posted by: DT at April 25, 2005 01:05 PM

Do the Tiggers have a drum too...I just heard a beating drum...I get so sick of the 'Toons fans and their insipid drum.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:06 PM

Whoa! Baseball game!? i was taken by suprise. i'm late, what did i miss?

and what the hell kind of view is going on on MLB.com?! this is just straight up weird!

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 01:06 PM

Is that better or worse than Joanne Santana?

Posted by: tamile at April 25, 2005 01:07 PM

DT, You do that!!

Tinger: have no idea, MLB TV is not allowed for us until AFTER the game!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:07 PM

Oh my I feel so overwhelmed (in a good way), I really need a computer at home to keep up with all the updates and new stuff posted on the weekend.

Couple things:

For Batgirl:
1.)Congratulations Batgirl, wonderful article on Pioneer Press.
2.)Who was BOD on Friday night?

For all Batlings:
I too was completely miserable all weekend without baseball. May this never happen to us again.

For Dr. Morneau:
Sweetie, you had Pneumonia and Pleurisy over the winter, Please don't play in the snow in shorts. I don't want to take chances with your immune system. Pretty please? Thanks Pumpkin! Oh by the way, nice double and homer on Friday, oh and thanks for the RBI today.

Now let's get out there and beat these guys!!

Posted by: HooliganKat at April 25, 2005 01:11 PM

Ok, for those of you who wanted to watch MLB.TV and couldn't, i just want to say, i'm jealous of you right now. Listening to these hosers makes me want to gouge my eyes out and pound nails into my ears. They're not even talking about the game...

for those of you who haven't seen, theres about 25 people in the stands today

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 01:12 PM

Kind of makes one miss the Bert and Dick show...It cracks me up about how Bert gets so fixated on one thing, and does not let go....

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:14 PM

looks like they packed away the good bats so they wouldn't get cold over the weekend, then forgot to bring them back out...

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 01:14 PM

oh thats sad... they just showed the bleachers behind home plate... the upper deck is entirely closed off today, and theres like seriously 11 people sitting in the section behind home plate. in the two sections if you want to get critical. WOW.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 01:17 PM

That IS sad, but there was not supposed to be a game today, and since it is a weekday, people probably couldn't get time off from work/school.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:19 PM

Hello.

Crabby right now because I can't get live audio OR gameday to open on this silly computer here at work (new temp job). The only way I know what is going on is from this thread...

But advice to those of you who want MLB.TV when its blacked out. They only black out your local team - when I listed my parents address as my address I couldnt get it, even when I was living in London or New York. But I changed it to my local address, and wallah! So just find a friend out of market that will let you use their address....there you go!

NYB

Posted by: NY-Brian at April 25, 2005 01:19 PM

Dearest Kat,

Since the Twins, well, were winning-impaired on Friday there is no BOD.

Regretfully,
BG

Posted by: Batgirl at April 25, 2005 01:19 PM

Detroit announcer says, " This is why i like our team so much, we have so many pro's. Rondel White, Dmitri, so many pro's."

AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhAAAAAA

thanks tiger announcer dude. i needed that.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 01:20 PM

2 games postponed b/c of snow? Whats next a giant running sausage being hit by a pro baseball player while rounding 3rd? ...... oh wait.

Posted by: Megadorkchop at April 25, 2005 01:22 PM

Yup,i'm convinced there's more people following the game on here than there are at the game. And thats not exaggerating.

Its gotta be weird playing in that environment for the players... it reminds me of "Major League", at the beginning of the movie, when there's just the two dudes with the drum out in left field.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 01:25 PM

Anyone else think a stadium deal w/o a roof is dumb?

I also don't like the proposed site for a new stadium. It's a dump with no view, plus can you talk about nightmare traffic.

Maybe i'm just sad because I don't have a free parking spot in that area. Not like my secret parking location near the HHH dome.

Posted by: Thart at April 25, 2005 01:26 PM

it reminds me of "Major League", at the beginning of the movie, when there's just the two dudes with the drum out in left field.

I was trying to picture what it would look like. Thanks for providing the visual for me Tinger.

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 01:26 PM

Ok, the ass-bats have got to go. I'm not amused.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 01:26 PM

Not that they would have needed it, but the upper deck is closed off because they only cleared snow out of the lower deck.

Posted by: DT at April 25, 2005 01:28 PM

DT: How much snow did you end up getting in total?

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:30 PM

I'm bored. The Twins need to get something going. The Tigers stole our good bats!

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 01:31 PM

I said the TWINS need to get something going, not the TIGERS. Stupid back to back hits.

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 01:32 PM

TallDrink:
Free Press reported about 8 inches. I'm about an hour north of Lansing and we didn't get that much, maybe 4 or 5.

Posted by: DT at April 25, 2005 01:35 PM

Hahahahahahahaha!

Sit down bitch!

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 01:37 PM

Nice Brad. Thanks!

Posted by: tamile at April 25, 2005 01:37 PM

I feel the tide-a-turnin'

Way to get out of a chucked bases jam, Bradke. All that stuff I said earlier about BP, please ignore!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:37 PM

*Phew!*

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 01:38 PM

C'mon Bradke. Shut the door here.

I need a Twins win. I'm going to see the Nats at RFK tonight. It will drive me crazy to see a Twins loss flashed on the scoreboard time and time again.

Posted by: funoka at April 25, 2005 01:38 PM

Hey!! It looks like the whole GIDP problem isn't the only thing that is contagious. They are leaving the bases loaded too!

(granted I am not so happy that the bases are loaded to begin with but seeing that last strike on Pena made me cheer.)

Posted by: CapitalBabs at April 25, 2005 01:38 PM

My brother and I just breathed a collective sigh of relief.
He read the article about Bat-Girl in the PiPress. Where's the link to it?

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 01:39 PM

Score update anyone?

Posted by: bubblemint at April 25, 2005 01:39 PM

People, people, people....

Open-air stadium = convertible
Retractable roof = sunroof

There IS a difference - just go to a Royals game, and then drive up to Milwaukee.

I know I'm an Iowan and all, but knock off the first 2 weeks and last 2 weeks of the year, and you'll be much happier there never was a roof to begin with. It isn't perfect, but a little rain, sleet and snow is a small (and more occasional than you might think) price to pay for watching the game the way it was truly meant to be played.

I'm much more willing to drive the 4 hours to the Cities and sit through a rain delay than catch another game in the Dome.

Posted by: Cattlefeeder at April 25, 2005 01:40 PM

10 hits for DETIGGERS into the top of the 6th? Wow, Bradke's dodged a bullet or two...

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 01:41 PM

bbm:

Tigers 3 Twins 2.

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:42 PM

Is the weather better in Detroit today? Or still cold w/o snow falling?

Posted by: Thart at April 25, 2005 01:44 PM

Donna,

http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/sports/11467055.htm

Posted by: E at April 25, 2005 01:45 PM

Pitch count's getting a little high (88) for their JJ, considering our JJ is on deck and showing much better bat discipline this year...

Mauer worked that last at-bat quite well, how about a little RALLY!!

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 01:45 PM

Retractable STINKS. They are terrible. Go to Fenway or Yankee stadium. They seem to be able to play World Series games there. Hello and they are much better. NO ROOF

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 01:46 PM

2 one 1 out Jones at bat letsssss goooooooo

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 01:47 PM

How will Torii steal second with Joe Mauer clogging it up?

Posted by: kurtis at April 25, 2005 01:47 PM

Yeah, except Yankee Stadium is going the way of the dinosaur after this year. They are building a new one....

NYB

Posted by: NY-Brian at April 25, 2005 01:47 PM

True but they are not building a retractable one either. Baseball no roof good. Baseball with roof bad

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 01:49 PM

I said how 'bout a little RALLY!!!

Lewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww's on deck! NO GIDP!!!!
Johnson's on borrowed time -

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 01:50 PM

Happy 30th Birthday JJ! How about a 3-run homer to celebrate?

A walk to load the bases for Lew? I'll take it!

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 01:50 PM

Leewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwellllllllllllllllla!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:50 PM

Good strategy. Load them up for the inevitable DP.

Posted by: E at April 25, 2005 01:51 PM

Lewww...... damn.

Posted by: Kurtis at April 25, 2005 01:51 PM

Ok Michael, now is the time to stop sucking!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:52 PM

Team's still alive, but let's see which bat Cud-die-er brings to the plate!

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 01:52 PM

At least it wasn't a DP

Posted by: Jacesen at April 25, 2005 01:52 PM

poop lew FC hate those

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 01:52 PM

Bases loaded with one out and we don't score.

The sad thing is, I'm getting used to it.

Posted by: CarrieIC at April 25, 2005 01:52 PM

gosh darn it.

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 01:53 PM

Didn't we go over how that got old a long time ago... a long time ago? Damn!

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 01:53 PM

Dammitall, Cuddy, do you need an engraved invitation to get a hit? 'Cause I'll print some up, if that's what it takes.

Posted by: infield at April 25, 2005 01:53 PM

*shaking head*

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 01:53 PM

Thanks, E, it gave me something to read while the Twins were leaving the bases loaded.

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 01:53 PM

I'm inclined to agree with you, cattlefeeder, based on the one retractable roof stadium that I've been in, which was Arizona. It's basically a normal building with a whole in the top. I like the fields that feel open and you can actually see outside to the skyline or hills. Somebody here said that they were in Seattle, however, which this person said is retractable, but feels like a real open-air stadium when the roof is peeled back.

3 stranded in the sixth? Now's not the time to be wasting hits, Twins.

Posted by: gopher38 at April 25, 2005 01:54 PM

what a waste of 2 walks!!

Michael, you're killing me.

Posted by: Meghan at April 25, 2005 01:54 PM

*SIGH*

I just keep telling myself that at least it wasn't a GIDP...

Posted by: CapitalBabs at April 25, 2005 01:54 PM

But retractable means no roof when its nice, roof when it's raining, snowing, blizzarding. This IS Minnesota!

I actually could care less with or without a stadium. I just want a new one. I'm more picky about the location though.

Yay!! More stranded base runners! Com'on Twins!!

Posted by: Thart at April 25, 2005 01:54 PM

I can see it now.

Radke to the others -- "Every time you leave the bases loaded, my soul dies a little."

Posted by: CarrieIC at April 25, 2005 01:54 PM

When Cuddyer comes up, I totally don't even expect him to come through. That's not good. I hope he turns it around. He's killing us Rivas-style.

Posted by: Andre at April 25, 2005 01:54 PM

Keep the faith everyone, I have to leave my computer, to take my son to the orthopedic surgeon (long story, broken foot). Hopefully they will rally now!

Posted by: talldrinkowater at April 25, 2005 01:54 PM

Bases loaded jinx continues.

We'll win this one anyway.

Posted by: Kurtis at April 25, 2005 01:55 PM

Doesn't Nook look like he belongs at the end of the Bench for the Detroit Pistons??

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 01:56 PM

>>>He's killing us Rivas-style.

hahahaha. i totally laughed really hard when i read that

Posted by: Meghan at April 25, 2005 01:57 PM

Oh, good news, Kyle Farnsworth is warming up in the Detroit Bullpen. thats good for us, we seem to rip him every time.

wow, steward didn't have to move for that one... he didn't even have to come up out of the ready position... lets go bats! Do something here!

Oh good, the grounds crew is even dragging the infield, so we can go out there at tear stuff up this time around.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 01:59 PM

>>>>Radke to the others -- "Every time you leave the bases loaded, my soul dies a little."

>>>>He's killing us Rivas-style.

This is why I come here.

I have been to Safeco. While the game I was at (a Twins thrashing of the M's) the roof was open, the stadium doesn't have high walls in the back for the roof to slide onto, like in Milwaukee or Houston. From friends I have out there, they say with the roof closed there is still open space below and the air temp. matches outside, so it still has an open-air feel to it.

I don't think this would work fo the Twins, unless they don't want to heat it, like Milwaukee does.

Posted by: Shaun at April 25, 2005 02:00 PM

Ok.. I think it is official. Cuddy is in a slump. What do we do with our guys when they need to get their head in the game? Continuing to have such unsuccessful at bats is simply going to be a self-fulfilling prophesy for him now.

There are several guys on the team who could be hitting better but they are still getting some results on good days. Am I being biased when I can't recall Cuddy having any of those yet? He's really struggling - both with the bat AND in the field.

Posted by: CapitalBabs at April 25, 2005 02:00 PM

that was a pretty poorly-hit ball...

so i was thinking, my girlfriend got her L.R. is my B.F. shirt, how fun would it be for me to wear the "Luis Rivas is my Girlfriend's Boyfriend" shirt?!

stew fouled that one off his foot. ouch.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:01 PM

we're making this guy look like a #%*@ing All-Star.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:03 PM

ATTABOY Little Nicky!!!! way to get something started... here comes Farnsworth! lets tear him up!

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:04 PM

I look forward to the day the Twins cut the cord with Corky and bring Tiffee back up. Maybe having Tiffee playing some 3rd base will help motivate Cuddyer.

Posted by: Shaun at April 25, 2005 02:04 PM

I'm so sick of ass-bats.

Posted by: Haplo at April 25, 2005 02:04 PM

NDTF: you got me good on that one!!

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 02:05 PM

As far as the roof is concerned, I'd rather see something similar to Safeco.

We're Minnesotans. We own winter jackets. As long as we're out of the wind and the crud we'll be fine.

Posted by: heraldguy at April 25, 2005 02:06 PM

This is rich. The announcer says "here it is, lets see if we can get our first perfect 7th, 8th, and 9th inning. Here it is, we'll start it right here."

Ok buddy, you haven't done it yet, you wont do it today...

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:08 PM

1) Roof or no roof, just get it done

2) Cuddyer needs someone pushing him, he's in no way playing up to the level we need thus far

3) Mauer has owned Detroit so HOW 'BOUT A LITTLE RALLY!!!!!

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 02:09 PM

Ok, here's the deal... if they add heated seats, we don't need a retractable roof. =D

Posted by: Thart at April 25, 2005 02:09 PM

maybe he should throw to first once or twice... holy geez!

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:11 PM

is LNP a base-stealing threat?? Farnsworth seems to think so -

The Chairman's discipline at the plate is astounding...

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 02:11 PM

Is Nicky really that big a threat to steal?

Posted by: Haplo at April 25, 2005 02:11 PM

I think he was brought in to throw over to 1st

And the the WP!!

Posted by: Jacesen at April 25, 2005 02:12 PM

I think Farnsworth is trying to eat Little Nicky.

Posted by: Stacy at April 25, 2005 02:12 PM

Little nicky just about got eaten at first on that one.....

nice running LNP!

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:12 PM

WOO HOO!! The Chairman serves the people once again!

Now is the time for all good doctors to come to the aid of their teammates!!

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 02:12 PM

Wherever the Twins play ball, I will go. I don't care about the Dome, it doesn't bother me, I just love to see baseball. Too bad for people who don't feel the same way.

I need to go locate my rally cap! WOOO!

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 02:12 PM

Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase get this RBI, Justin!

Posted by: heraldguy at April 25, 2005 02:13 PM

Justin! Justin, you beautiful, beautiful man!

Posted by: CarrieIC at April 25, 2005 02:14 PM

Don't walk Morneau. That'll load the bases, which guarantees that we'll strand them.

Posted by: gopher38 at April 25, 2005 02:14 PM

Yea, Dr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: heraldguy at April 25, 2005 02:14 PM

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 02:15 PM

Thank God! Finally an actual run-scoring play!

Posted by: E at April 25, 2005 02:15 PM

Posted by: Meghan at April 25, 2005 02:15 PM

YES!

Posted by: Jacesen at April 25, 2005 02:15 PM

Yay!! We're going to wins Twins, we're going to score!!

Posted by: Thart at April 25, 2005 02:15 PM

I hope the Twins were watching that and learning how to get a clutch hit!! Great job Dr.!

Posted by: Shaun at April 25, 2005 02:15 PM

Sweet! 4 - 3

Posted by: CoachBruce at April 25, 2005 02:17 PM

For a bad case of the run-scoring blues, I prescribe an RBI double off of some slappy named Farnsworth.

Posted by: Doctor Morneau at April 25, 2005 02:17 PM

Couple of things here... first, i now know how to tell if the ball was officially drilled or not. Announcer guy says "If Nook can't get anywhere near the ball, thats how you KNOW it was drilled." glad thats all cleared up.

Secondly, He just said right after that something about Tori Hunter being the "new Denny Hocking" of the twins. Ehhhhhhh... Hmmmmmmmmm

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:17 PM

Man I love Farnsworth! Better yet, I love not thinking about the Vikings or Timberwolves or heaven forbid, the Wild.

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 02:17 PM

Wow...sorry for that double post.

Posted by: Stacy at April 25, 2005 02:17 PM

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 02:18 PM

Okay, so I know he's only played in five games so far this year, but HOW AWESOME IS MORNEAU DOING??? Man.

Posted by: Roscoe at April 25, 2005 02:18 PM

>>>ok does anyone else think that Justin looks about 13 in his picture?

Funny you should mention that. When I was watching the game at my uncle's house on Friday night, he looked at Morneau and said, "That guy looks like he's all of 15 years old!"

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 02:18 PM

the boys are gettin loose in the bullpen.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:19 PM

Torii=Denny. I think not.

Torii > Denny in every way.

Posted by: Stacy at April 25, 2005 02:19 PM

93 pitches for Bradke...bring on some of that "#1 Bullpen in MLB", baby!!

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 02:19 PM

ahh.... so nice.. (ok, the strike out by Torii not so much) but it does feel good to be on top in the numbers finally.

Posted by: CapitalBabs at April 25, 2005 02:20 PM

ndtf--

Weird! I feel weird saying how hot i find him because it makes me feel like a pedophile every time i see that picture--even though he's 2 years older than me!

Posted by: Meghan at April 25, 2005 02:20 PM

Let's turn two...

Posted by: heraldguy at April 25, 2005 02:20 PM

Rivas needed about 2 more inches and he'd have robbed that line drive. Good game Bradke. Bring on the pen.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:21 PM

I would like the roof only to ensure I would see a game after the drive up from Madison.

Posted by: Shaun at April 25, 2005 02:22 PM

I feel so good when they bring in Boo. You just know the game is in good hands once he and the Count are there...

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:22 PM

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BERRY!!!

Posted by: Stacy at April 25, 2005 02:22 PM

Is anyone else breathing a sigh of relief that JC isn't coming on?

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 02:23 PM

Are you kidding me?! Boo is only 5'5"?! holy crap we got little guy power out there! no wonder he's so good!

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:23 PM

Liveblogging the Twins? Fabulous!

Hey I was watching ESPN the other night and their commentator called Torii, a "perfect" player, with no weaknesses! I think he could have a touch more plate discipline, but it was a nice comment. The same guy called Jacque one of the most underrated players in the AL.

Posted by: billhedrick at April 25, 2005 02:24 PM

Let's turn two...

Oh, Boo, come on honey.

Posted by: Batgirl at April 25, 2005 02:26 PM

Bradke can't get the loss. If the runner at 2nd right now doesn't score and we win, Bradke will get it.

=============================

I believe Brad would have gotten the win even if he hadn't stepped out of the dugout for the 7th - he was the pitcher of record when the go-ahead run was scored.

Posted by: Cattlefeeder at April 25, 2005 02:27 PM

He would get the win as long as they don't give up anymore runs.

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 02:27 PM

NO!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: Stacy at April 25, 2005 02:27 PM

I am not a fan of the HP ump today.

I ahve decided all the Tigers players and the city of Detroit smell like cat pee.

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 02:35 PM

Ugh, this team's inability to score first or hold a lead is going to really make this season painful at this rate.

Posted by: Shaun at April 25, 2005 02:35 PM

AWWWWWWWW HORSESHIT!!!!!!!!!!

that was an easy play rivas. High Moral Ground, however, it was not. How do you bobble that grounder?! that was just a case of ass-second baseman. I'm angry. very very angry.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:36 PM

Oh well, Doc feels like hitting a homer today, I can feel it.

Posted by: Stacy at April 25, 2005 02:36 PM

I'm very stressed out! This is not like Booberry at all! Maybe JC SHOULD have come on. AAAAAAAAAARGH

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 02:36 PM

Ok I guess they wanted to make it interesting.

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 02:36 PM

I should be working, not doing this, but I just have to say:
World, why do you hate Radke? Why? Why?

Posted by: Katharriet at April 25, 2005 02:36 PM

Hey Brad,

You didn't want to get a win like this, right?

Posted by: Juan Rincon at April 25, 2005 02:37 PM

Shaun, add that to Radke's bloated first inning ERA, Cuddyer's crap-bat and crap-glove, and everyone's intense desire to see how many men they can leave on base. Oh, and hit into double plays.

COME ON!!!! Top of 8th, JJ leads off!!

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 02:37 PM

Hopefully Urbina sucks.

Posted by: Stacy at April 25, 2005 02:37 PM

So, if I remember last year correctly, Boo had one or two really bad outings where we were really down on him and wondered if the magic was gone. If this year is like last year, then I'll be happy to see Boo have his bad games early. Get 'em out of the way.

In the meantime, pick him up guys!

Posted by: mk at April 25, 2005 02:38 PM

Well the "true playa fo realz" players are up now. They need to get it done.

awww Hell. we're gonna win anyway. Jonesy is all pissed and he's gonna go yard.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:38 PM

I remember having many terrible feelings towards the Twins at this time in the 04. I hope they can overcome this most mediocre and unimpressive April, just like they did last year.

Posted by: tjacobits at April 25, 2005 02:39 PM

That was not a good start

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 02:40 PM

I totally agree BW. Plus, the White Sox are just playing great ball right now, winning games they should win. Detroit is not as good as some people believe and I find it hard to believe we are struggling with them now after we just swept them rather easily.

Plus, I am annoyed we can't face the Sox until August!! We will have to win and get help to keep up.

Posted by: Shaun at April 25, 2005 02:40 PM

there goes Jones swinging at the high fastball and missing again... J.J. i thought those times were behind us now! Don't lower your standards just because Rivas lowered his!

Posted by: tinger at April 25, 2005 02:41 PM

I do hate Bradke. He needs to be stopped. This is my way.

Posted by: God at April 25, 2005 02:42 PM

Ya think?

Posted by: Stacy at April 25, 2005 02:42 PM

Tinger,

*comfort* It is WAAAY too early in the morning there for you to get this worked up. You won't be able to sleep later and you will wake up the neighbors.

(but not feeling especially pleasant here either)

Out of Concern,
Babs

Posted by: CapitalBabs at April 25, 2005 02:43 PM

Well atleast Lewwwwwww is consistant. He gets an out everytime we need a hit. He has that going for him.

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 02:43 PM

if cuddyer can get on base here (not getting my hopes up) they BETTER be thinking about PHing Bartlet for Rivas and moving LNP over to 2nd

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:44 PM

Y'know what has entirely worn out its welcome? What I am so sick of?

Bradke giving up first inning runs. Honestly. WTF? A top of the rotation guy CANNOT be doing that on a consistent basis.

Listening at work. A co-worker's comment on the base hit that scored the Tigger's 4th run: "Auggie would've gotten that." What can I say, Octavio "Auggie" Ojeda is somebody's non-sexual man crush. And wouldn't the team be better off with him than with Corky (Corky) Miller?

Posted by: double-a at April 25, 2005 02:44 PM

Posted by: SDave at April 25, 2005 02:50 PM

I HAVE AN IDEA!

Why don't we just sneak the opposing team's bats at the start of each series. The ass bats must be pretty humerous when the other team has them.

Posted by: Stacy at April 25, 2005 02:51 PM

Q: How 'bout an Urbina?
A: No thanks, I quit years ago.

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 02:51 PM

"Agreed - the staff ace just doesn't do that"

BW, you're right. The staff ace doesn't do that. Johan hasn't given it up early like that in a while.

I think its time for the Twins to realize that Although Bradke is an absolutley great pitcher, nothing against him, he's not our number 1 guy anymore. He's one of the best number 2 guys in the nation though!

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:52 PM

Posted by: billhedrick at April 25, 2005 02:54 PM

Right now there is such a fine line between us winning and losing. One of those invisible energy fields in baseball that is so hard to pin down. When the team is rolling all of those small things go right, grounders go in the hole not at the short-stop when we are batting with the bases loaded and the same grounder goes to the ss when we are in the field. What needs to be done to get it back?

Posted by: tjacobits at April 25, 2005 02:54 PM

This would be a LOT more.. interesting if it were on tv.

*sigh*

Craptacular.

Posted by: infield at April 25, 2005 02:55 PM

How many times must they tell us that Nook Logan runs well?

MAUER!!! Crap!

Calmate JC.

Posted by: tamile at April 25, 2005 02:55 PM

Jumpin jesus. thats it. BG- time to have that Moral High Ground talk again. WHOA! PUDGE AND ROMERO ARE GOING AT IT.

dugouts emptied! we gots a situation, hell the bullpend are coming out!

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 02:55 PM

Umm, I don't think J.C. is going to calm down very well after this.

Posted by: Pepper at April 25, 2005 02:55 PM

Well, this is all going very well.

Posted by: Cattlefeeder at April 25, 2005 02:55 PM

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-URNS!

THis is ass crap. ASS GLOVES!

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 02:56 PM

Do you guys not realize that the benches just emptied?

Posted by: fliphed at April 25, 2005 02:56 PM

"Yeaaaaaaaaa. There is no God."

If so, then wow do you explain Corky Miller making a major league roster?!

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 02:57 PM

If you can't beat 'em, beat'em up.

Posted by: Shaun at April 25, 2005 02:57 PM

Man! What did Pudge say to make J.C. so pissed???

Posted by: Pepper at April 25, 2005 02:58 PM

This is a time where Gameday doesn't do justice:

"On-field Delay."

Posted by: E-9 at April 25, 2005 02:58 PM

Sadly, I'm at work, with no Gameday Audio old MLB.tv to warm me, so all I see is an "On-field Delay."

Details, please!

Posted by: mk at April 25, 2005 02:58 PM

Black Jack: "Let 'em go at it."

CLASSIC!

Posted by: double-a at April 25, 2005 02:58 PM

On-Field Delay....

Posted by: CoachBruce at April 25, 2005 02:58 PM

I AM laughing SO hard...Little Nicky trying to stand between the 2 of them!

THIS SCREAMS for a Legovision reinactment!!

Posted by: Stacy at April 25, 2005 02:58 PM

"Romero signals to Rodriguez as he leaves the field."

Hmm... I wonder what he was signalling?

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 02:59 PM

Guess I'm going to have to watch some sportscenter tonight to see what happened. I get the impression Gordo & Morris didn't do the fight justice.

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 02:59 PM

Isn't it CUDDY'S job to charge the mound (or the field in general) to DEFEND HIS TEAM? I recall someone giving him that responsibility...

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 03:01 PM

I dont understand the whole situation, but from what i could see, when Pudge was heading for first base, he was staring down J.C. and i was a little curious what that was all about.

Then the next thing i see is pudge standing at the pitchers mound up in J.C.'s face and there was a shove or two before the benches and dugouts cleared. J.C. woulda kicked his scrawny ass.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 03:01 PM

I have no idea what happened, but I choose to assume that it was entirely Pudge's fault.

BG, please fill us in in your post-game analysis!

Posted by: CarrieIC at April 25, 2005 03:02 PM

J.C. is like Jimmy "The Mouth of the South" Hart back in the old days of the WWF - doesn't bring much to the table that will scare you, but throws a chair in the ring every now and then to get his team fired up.

Darn MLB GameDay...

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 03:02 PM

Its over. Boo hoo is me

Posted by: charles at April 25, 2005 03:02 PM

Woo Hoo! DP!

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 03:02 PM

Rally time!

Posted by: tamile at April 25, 2005 03:03 PM

I dont think they're gonna have highlights from this one on sports center. The only camera view they have going is the Field Camera behind home plate way up by the press box... just one view of the whole game. I really doubt they'll have anything that shows it on SC. From what i saw, they were following Nook running home, and then all of a sudden the camera shot up and they were standing there yelling and shoving.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 03:04 PM

Crain and the boys getting an inning-ending dp? H'mm... maybe that fight was just what we needed.
Let's see what happens with the bats...

Posted by: Katharriet at April 25, 2005 03:04 PM

Thanks, Tinger.

What I don't get is why Pudge would get all upset--over an intentional walk?!?

Posted by: mk at April 25, 2005 03:04 PM

>>>>Isn't it CUDDY'S job to charge the mound (or the field in general) to DEFEND HIS TEAM? I recall someone giving him that responsibility...

Do we really want Cuddy to have this responsibility? What if he fights as well as he bats?

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 03:05 PM

WHY THE *@&#*%$# IS RIVAS STILL BATTING?!?!?!

its not like our bench is tired after 2 days off! CRIPES!

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 03:06 PM

Um, why was Rivas hitting when we're behind in the 9th?

Posted by: E-9 at April 25, 2005 03:07 PM

MK- thats why i'm having a tough time with that whole situation. Way to go Luis. I'm going to take my girlfriends new shirt and burn it thanks to you. Then she's gonna get all pissed off. See what you do? you play a poor game of baseball, and it effects others around you.

Homewrecker.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 03:07 PM

Isn't it funny that the only person who can even watch the mlb.tv feed is the one who is 568,658 miles away in the middle of the desert in a war zone?

Posted by: double-a at April 25, 2005 03:08 PM

...Cuddyer runs towards Rodriquez, he swings and misses...

Posted by: SDave at April 25, 2005 03:08 PM

Something you don't get to see on Gameday too often:

Bottom 8TH B:0 S:0 O:1
Carlos Guillen turns around to bat left-handed.

Posted by: Cattlefeeder at April 25, 2005 03:08 PM

Nicky! It's all up to you!

Posted by: Pepper at April 25, 2005 03:09 PM

E-9, to clarify, he wasn't really batting, just standing in there throwing a bat around...

Stewart, thats not the way to get a rally going. 3 times today you popped out ot Carlos. Thats not cool man. Not cool at all.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 03:09 PM

Wow, I am not in a good mood.

Posted by: Stacy at April 25, 2005 03:10 PM

ASS CRAP. PURE ASS CRAP.

I still have faith in the Twins overall, but this was ASS CRAP.

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 03:10 PM

Not a good day. Better luck in K.C.

Posted by: Cattlefeeder at April 25, 2005 03:10 PM

Wow, I'm sure glad I blew off approx 3 perfectly good work hours for that load of ass crap.

Posted by: SDave at April 25, 2005 03:11 PM

But does it really count as a loss if there were fewer people in the stands than in the dugouts?

Posted by: Cattlefeeder at April 25, 2005 03:11 PM

Way to ruin a perfectly good day.

Posted by: CarrieIC at April 25, 2005 03:11 PM

Oh....pooh on toast.

Step it up for us tomorrow Johan.

Posted by: tamile at April 25, 2005 03:12 PM

Double-A: it is kinda funny, but i gotta tell you, those of you who DIDN'T see the game were the real winners tonight. I'm scarred. Really. I am. That hurt. Not only was it the worst camera angle i've ever seen, but it was also the worst play by play. and the action on the field wasn't exactly A-quality work, either. I think the boys should probably go sit in the locker room and feel shame for this one. Except for J.C. He pissed off pudge somethin fierce. He should hop on the internet, come here, and tell us what really happened.

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 03:12 PM

...Cuddyer runs towards Rodriquez, he swings and misses...

I don't know why, but I think this is hilarious. Couldn't you just picture Gordo & Black Jack doing a live broadcast of that fight? Perhaps a LegoVision re-enactment?

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 03:13 PM

Ummm...DD - that wasn't exactly a sweep. Yet.

Posted by: SDave at April 25, 2005 03:13 PM

*sigh* *sigh* *sigh*
I have to keep reminding myself how we usually suck in April then get really hot later on.
That's what you're planning-- isn't it, boys?
Isn't it?

Posted by: Katharriet at April 25, 2005 03:13 PM

ndtf...funny in a sad sort of way maybe

I had more but I had to stop myself. Depression was starting to set in.

Posted by: SDave at April 25, 2005 03:14 PM

"YES! DETROIT WINS! Finally, Tigers take a series from the Twinkies."

Talk to me in June or July when they make up the 'snow-out'...

Posted by: BW at April 25, 2005 03:15 PM

I should have spent the last few hours doing my homework.

Posted by: Donnalove at April 25, 2005 03:17 PM

great idea Tinger! Supposedly SOMEONE on the team pays attention to what happens here.

If you guys are reading, LET US KNOW WHAT PISSED OFF PUDGE! I'm sure we can come up with SOME kind of award for JC on that one.

and Tinger, while it is true that the reality may have been worse than we would like, it's the not knowing that kills us.

On field Delay = Chinese water torture

No - a double header to make up for TODAY.

Posted by: SDave at April 25, 2005 03:17 PM

Dear Twinkies fans,

I hear schadenfreude is all the rage this year in Paris and Milan this year.

I'm hoping I can buy some in Chicago this September.

Jeb and Batkitties better hide...

Posted by: heraldguy at April 25, 2005 03:27 PM

the small points of humor I found in today's game are:

a) the mental image of Little Nicky trying to separate Pudge and Romero

b) the fact that Farnsworth gets a win out of that

Posted by: CapitalBabs at April 25, 2005 03:27 PM

CapitalBabs-
I guess we should also be thankful that Little Nicky didn't get eaten.

Posted by: ndtf at April 25, 2005 03:33 PM

Sounds like I should be grateful I taped fishing shows today...

Posted by: bubblemint at April 25, 2005 03:43 PM

Dear Twins,

STOP SUCKING.

All The Money,
Mimiru

Posted by: Mimiru at April 25, 2005 03:47 PM

I hate baseball so hard right now. Why do you taunt me so, fickle baseball? You take away two games from me in late April due to snow? IN DETROIT? This isn't Met Stadium here, lady. And then you make Bradke and Boo totally suck at pitching, when they're normally totally awesome at it? Seriously, baseball, you keep this crap up and we are going to have all sorts of problems.

I think it was a really bad idea for Brad to work with Kyle in the offseason. Clearly, the intended de-suckification of Kyle backfired, causing the flow to invert into an intense resuckification. Which totally sucks.

Oh, and can someone explain to me what the hell we were doing batting Crappy McSuckshardatbaseball with two outs in the 9th? Come on, Ron, at least pretend that you care.

Posted by: Chris at April 25, 2005 03:56 PM

Ok, so uh... looks like our good pitching isn't the only ones getting hosed for run support. (just digging deep here to find something positive)

Roger Clemens has a 23 inning scoreless streak going... with a 22 inning "no run support" streak to back him up. Ain't that some shit....

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/quickie

Posted by: Tinger at April 25, 2005 05:29 PM

Well Tinger, I can't think of a person who deserves to get screwed like that more than Clemons does. Ok, so maybe the Yankees pitchers, but I don't even hate Buehrle as much as I hate Clemons. I mean the guy is just a prick--he's screwed over every team he's played for, except for the Astros (He just hasn't had a chance to screw them over yet)

Posted by: TBird41 at April 25, 2005 07:51 PM

I admit I'm new to this party, but NO TV!!!!????? I thought Minnesota was part of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!! When did you guys secede from the Union and join the DARK AGES!!!???? I admit it can be irritating trying to find the Sox game on any one of four randomly selected local channels in Chicago, but no TV is pre-1980s.

Posted by: ItsAllGood at April 25, 2005 08:38 PM

I have to agree about Clemens with Tbird. He's a head hunter, and he gets away with it because he's been in so long. He derves what he gets.

Posted by: Mimiru at April 26, 2005 10:47 AM

I can hear my owners mimicry of Gordo's disgust when he says, "popped up." Now go get yourself a beverage and save me a seat on the plane.
