Also sold this week, a TC Bear is my Boyfriend shirt.
It's clear, Lew Ford=babe magnet. BG would love to hear more.
Lew Ford is also a non-sexual dude magnet. I bought one of his shirts.
Posted by: Kurtis at April 22, 2005 10:47 AMBatgirl, has anyone purchased your "Real Deal" T-shirt? I can't believe that I don't own half of them. Please let me know if any have been purchased as I am a REAL fan:)
Posted by: i<3twins at April 22, 2005 10:52 AM...which came in the mail today. I put it right on. Hope I don't have to fight Jeb for him, but I think there's plenty of Lewwwww to go 'round.
Posted by: Kurtis at April 22, 2005 10:53 AMWhat can we say? He's just too darn adorkable to resist!
Posted by: ndtf at April 22, 2005 10:55 AMI have a feeling that it has something to do with Lew's absolutely adorable computer-nerdiness. Since this IS a blog, and most of us reading it/buying shirts from your store are semi-computer geeks ourselves, it only makes sense to be drawn to Lew.
And, oh yeah, he's so damn cute too :)
Posted by: Bular at April 22, 2005 10:56 AM
TC? Is anyone else disturbed by that?
My condolences to those of you who purchased the Tiffee shirts. I miss him already.
Posted by: TwinsGoddess at April 22, 2005 11:04 AMIn light of last night's announcement, I'd recommend checking Jeb's laundry. There are probably at least seven of them there. :)
Posted by: kw at April 22, 2005 11:04 AMDoes the bar graph include NSMC t-shirts?
Posted by: Adam at April 22, 2005 11:09 AMDear Adam,
No. I believe the NSMC are even at about 4 apiece for JS and LF, but don't quote me on that.
Dear KW,
Since he has announced Lew as his boyfriend, Jeb has eschewed laundry. Too busy "fragging," whatever that means.
Dear Mr/Ms Twins,
No deals for Real Deal, yet, alas.
Sincerely,
BG
Thx, looks like i'll be the first RD Durbin purchase:) I'll wear it with pride til he gets here!
Posted by: i<3 twins at April 22, 2005 11:21 AMHave you all seen this??
Just more reasons to love Lew!!
From the Strib:

Much Love
Wonder Woman
I have to admit, I'm a bit of a Boyfriend T-shirt hussy. I have one each of Doctor, Lewwww, and Hrbek. I love them all equally.
Posted by: HooliganKat at April 22, 2005 11:54 AM
Hooligan! You three-timing slut!
I only have two--Lew and Gardy. And the Gardy one was a gift.
Posted by: TwinsGoddess at April 22, 2005 12:01 PMYou've gotta love girls who get around!
Posted by: Me at April 22, 2005 12:02 PMThe Lew Love confounds and confuses me.
Just don't get it. Is he really that cute?
Posted by: Eric at April 22, 2005 12:03 PMDear Goddess,
Those of us with Tiffee shirts aren't too worried. He'll be back. (Not that I'm wishing injury on anyone, mind you)
hopefully,
Angela
I'm proud to be one of the 2 with a Stewie boyfriend shirt, which I am wearing at the office today.
Who is my soulmate? Who has the other Stewie??
I think I need to buy a Lewwwww now...the boy is on FIRE.
Posted by: Brienne at April 22, 2005 12:05 PMI have 2 of them: The Chairman and The Good Doctor. Once payday comes, I may invest in a JKS and Torii.
Anyone else surprised The Veep only has 1 order?
Posted by: Stacy at April 22, 2005 12:21 PM
I personally find Lew's adorkable antics most charming, not to mention his baserunning speed and his tasty .353 average over the past 10 games.
But to be perfectly honest, Eric, it confounds and confuses me, too.
Posted by: TwinGoddess at April 22, 2005 12:21 PMCheck these pics out...awwwwww.
http://www.sethspeaks.net/LewPics.htm
Hooligan,
Admit it. In addition to the Doc, Leeewww, and Hrbie, you also have on of the two Luis Rivas shirts. Admit it. You know it is true.
And I thought LeCroy playing tennis was good. Those pics on Seth's site are unbelievable. It's like I'm in Lew's parents' living room looking through their photo albums.
He was adorkable even at a very young age, it turns out.
Posted by: Andre at April 22, 2005 12:31 PMWhoo HOoo! Add another Doctor to the list...just ordered mine!
Posted by: Mic at April 22, 2005 12:31 PMHa! Me a Rivas shirt? I know there are people who love Luis, but I don't.
In all fairness, Lew is my back-up (for times like the last 15 days when the JustIncredible was on the DL) and Hrbie's old school.
Posted by: HooliganKat at April 22, 2005 01:13 PM
Jim Souhan has a column in today's Strib about Lewwwwwww. (New nickname for Lew: Mr 1400.)
Given Jim's impact on the Vikes and Timberwolves, Lew should be seeing some time in beautiful upstate New York any time now.
Of course, a few weeks back Reusse was grouching about how Lewwwww was hitting nothing but choppers to the infield during Spring Training.
Maybe the two columnists cancel each other out.
Posted by: Squiddie at April 22, 2005 01:16 PMThe love for Lew is hard to explain. I would compare him to a superhero. He looks meek and mild-mannered but as we all know, that is not the case on the field. Throw in a cute smile and a good sense of humor and I can't resist! Besides, I've always had a thing for semi-cute nerds, especially unintentionally goofy ones.
Posted by: ndtf at April 22, 2005 01:23 PMHey all ... been reading for a awhile now and have noticed mention a couple times of a Santana, "Sit Down, Bitch!" t-shirt, but can't seem to find one on the site. Do these still exist?
Posted by: W at April 22, 2005 01:36 PMWho does have the other Rivas shirt? Is it to be used as part of some evil plan?
Posted by: Say Rah! at April 22, 2005 01:57 PMOn the page of Lew photos, check out the one halfway down where he's 9 or 10, posing with his dad in a non-sports-related shot. Lew totally looks like Chunk from the Goonies!
HEY YOU GUYS!
Dear W,
Those were part of the Campaign '04 series... I'll check this weekend and see if the art is up there.
Sincerely,
BG
Dear readers,
I will give those points to Jeb. Your generosity is astounding and touching.
Love,
BG
My best friend will be getting a Santana shirt for her birthday, and I will be purchasing a few as well.
I am also in confusion over Rivas...I love him in the moments when he's not doing something stupid. No Rivas shirt for me, thanks.
But when it comes to Lew. And Santana. And Joe Nathan. All boyfriend material. And if anyone knows anything about "Sit down, bitch!" shirts, speak up...I am definately interested.
~Carmen
Loving Lew is hard to explain as many have mentioned. I'm a proud owner of a Lew Ford shirt:-D
I also bought the Cuddy shirt:-D
I also plan on maybe buying a couple more! :-D
So much money spent, but it's for a good cause:)
Posted by: Candace at April 22, 2005 02:23 PMDear Mr. W. and Ms. Carmen,
Those Campaign '04 baseball jerseys are back up in the BatStore.
Sincerely,
BG
SWEET! Thanks BG, you're the best!
Posted by: W at April 22, 2005 03:32 PMLove the shirts!
Any chance I can get a dog version of the TC Bear is my boyfriend? Cuz my puppy loves that bear!!
(talk about your fun parade experiences)
Thanks!
Dear Mr./Ms. Deuce,
Wow, things are getting really freaky now. Yes, it is done.
Sincerely,
BG

Posted by: tjacobits at April 22, 2005 04:05 PMBatgirl - I would buy a JJ NSMC shirt if it was put up. If it is not cost effective to put up an item for one buyer let me know and I can satisfy my NSMC on Santana. Gracias
Posted by: soccerfan at April 22, 2005 04:09 PMDearest Mr. Fan,
It is always a pleasure to create more love for JJ. Done and done.
Love,
BG
Dear BG,
Since everyone was picking on LeCroy a few days ago, how about a Matthew LeCroy man crush shirt?
Fargo
Posted by: Fargo at April 22, 2005 04:23 PMWhat??? You can have more than one Boyfriend and thus more than one Boyfriend t-shirt?
I am shocked. And excited! Who knew?
Dear Mr. Fargo,
It is all yours.
Love,
BG
Dear Mr./Ms w,
Batgirl does not judge, no no. Indeed, while Joe Mauer is her boyfriend, she might also say that Mr. Johan Santana and Mr. Juan Rincon and Mr. Joe Nathan could all really fit that bill.
Love,
BG
Hi Batgirl,
I know I am old school, but any chance of a Jack Morris is my boyfriend shirt?
Al Newman is my TC Bear? Al Newman is my third base coach? Okay, an Al Newman boyfriend shirt would be great.
My Dad and I used to discuss "the Newman effect" when Al was playing for the Twins. I had a theory that the Twins won more games when he played than when he didn't.
Once Al became a coach for the Twins and with AJ having Al's old number, I called it the "double Newman effect" having both 26 and 62 on the field. Good times.
I'm torn between a Lew Ford shirt and a Jacque Jones shirt. I wish those women's t-shirts came in more colors (I'm not a big fan of white or pink). I do like the hoodies and the baseball jerseys, tho . . . Hrm. If there were boyfriend buttons (or I weren't quite so broke), I'd probably have way too many boyfriends represented by pins or articles of clothing. Could get silly. Yup. Uh-huh.
Hey-- we're sending creepers and teddy bears to the Pres. and V.P. for their little ones, aren't we? Just seems the right thing to do.
Posted by: Laurel at April 22, 2005 05:33 PMI'm also hoping for some more color options when I get my Lew Ford shirt (payday can't come soon enough) I just don't look good in white!
BG?
Please? (This is the part where I make a sad puppy face while all the time thinking about dear sweet Lew and how I needs a colored Lew Ford is my boyfriend shirt)
Posted by: Webster at April 22, 2005 05:38 PMDearest Batlings,
I have already sent an infant creeper to Mr. Nathan, and Mr. Santana's is on its way.
The men's shirts come in green, ash gray, and yellow (Do any of those work Webster?)
The women's shirts, alas, only come in white and pink, unless you can wear a junior ringer which comes in three colors but is quite small, especially in the bazoongas. But I can certainly make one in the green or yellow of the men's shirts (which fit just fine).
Sincerely,
BG
Thank you Batgirl! I hadn't even thought to check the colors for the men's shirts. . . how silly of me!
And a complaint about society: Why do people think that women only want to wear pink? Grrr. Sorry, I'm a little ornery because I know somebody whose entire wardrobe consists of that one color. It drives me up the wall. (nothing against pink, though, honest)
Posted by: Webster at April 22, 2005 05:47 PMDear Mr. Webster,
I would have to make the shirts in grey, yellow, or green, so let me know which you would like.
Sincerely,
BG
Green is great for me, but with Lew's popularity perhaps it wouldn't hurt to make the other colors for somebody else. . . unless you are busy, which I can definitely understand.
BTW, I go by Ms. Webster. :)
Posted by: Webster at April 22, 2005 05:52 PMMaybe it's just me, but the "Non-Sexual Man-Crush" shirts seem more gay than the original "Boyfriend" proclamations. A man secure in his masculinity isn't afraid to come right out and announce that he has a Twins "Boyfriend," I say.
Anyway, I was wondering if Batgirl would make a shirt that says, "Luis Rivas is My Bitch." Hey, it's sassy, isn't it?
In a related line of thought, I also had an idea for a shirt that said something like: "The Sox may be Bitches, but at least they're OUR Bitches." Could Batgirl work with that?
OK, one more brainstorm: "I Frag/Fragged Lew Ford."
Phew. Back to napping....
Posted by: frightwig at April 22, 2005 06:06 PMI saw 'non sexual man crush' for the first time the other day and almost peed myself laughing. One of many excellencies I've discovered here.
And as for more than one boyfriend...as my namesake Carmen would say...HELL yeah.
"L'amour est un oiseau rebelle," especially if we're talking about Twins boyfriends...

Posted by: Carmen at April 22, 2005 06:13 PMCan you get any design on the Organic cotton tees? Those are only t-shirts I wear... I like the fit.
Wearing a well-fitted t-shirt with "Michael Cuddyer is my boyfriend" around San Francisco might get me in trouble, though.
Can I get that in perrywinkle?
Posted by: Haplo at April 22, 2005 06:31 PMIt makes me feel so great to know that there are only 3 people in the whole world with a Torii Hunter is my boyfriend shirt, and I am one of them.
Posted by: Sasha at April 22, 2005 07:32 PMDearest Mr. Haplp,
why you are in luck, the Cuddy shirts come in Organic! (Though not turquoise.)
Love,
BG
Wow Batgirl, that really is green! I promise to get one as soon as I can. . .
I've been feeling a little guilty about all the requests everyone's been putting in for you to make the specific shirts they want, but I know I'll be getting my Lew Ford and perhaps a Santana/Nathan '04 shirt before long too. Perhaps that'll help.
Posted by: Webster at April 22, 2005 09:19 PMDearest Batlings,
Batgirl is happy to oblige when it is in her power to do so. Please let me know if I've missed any requests.
Sincerely,
BG
Batgirl is my nonsexual girl-crush! Okay, so that would make a t-shirt a bit too meta-meta (thanks, kw, for my new post-post-whatever adjective). But it's true, regardless.
Posted by: twink at April 23, 2005 02:41 AMBazoongas? Oh my.
Score one for the VP, I ordered one today. And a JKS one, as well. Maybe he will overtake Lew.
Any chance of a Terry Mulholland is my boyfriend shirt for my worse half? Terry M. is the only Twin even coming close to AJ's age. He is downright geriatric!
Posted by: Donnalove at April 23, 2005 02:42 AMWere mine overlooked or delicately ignored?
Posted by: frightwig at April 23, 2005 02:51 AMfrightwig, are you referring to your bazoongas? If so, perhaps you should send a picture.
Posted by: Pepper at April 23, 2005 09:34 AMBatgirl, you may be missing out on a big thing. If you put my Rivas slogan on a dog shirt, I think it could sell like hotcakes. (Who came up with that phrase, "selling like hotcakes," anyway? At some point in history did people line up around the block to buy hotcakes, or what?)
Pepper, nobody really needs to see a picture of frightwig's bazoongas. But could I interest you in a photo of TC Bear defragging Lew Ford?
Posted by: frightwig at April 23, 2005 12:54 PMThose Lew photos are just precious...Funny thing, Ford happens to be my maiden name. May have to get a Lew is my BF shirt. How does the saying go? "Collect them all!"
Sure hope the game happens today.
