Batgirl will meet any nay-sayers with numchucks at dawn. But I warn you, Batgirl's got numchuck skills.
Posted by Batgirl at January 5, 2005 11:51 AMBatgirl,
Would you show me some of your numchuck skills if I build you a cake?

Posted by: double-a at January 5, 2005 12:57 PMI was just going to post on this and I see the ever-vigilant Batgirl has beaten me to it.
Batgirl may have formidable numchucka skills even if she doesn't have room for them in her locker anymore, but there's a gang in St Louis Park that keeps wanting me to join because of my skills with a bo staff.
Posted by: Skorch at January 5, 2005 01:08 PMOh yeah, well I totally spent the summer with my uncle in Alaska hunting Wolverines.
Posted by: She-Ra, P.O.P. at January 5, 2005 01:25 PMShe-Ra - Did you shoot any?
Posted by: Skorch at January 5, 2005 01:28 PMYes, like 50 of 'em! They kept trying to attack my cousins, what the heck would you do in a situation like that?
Posted by: She-Ra, P.O.P. at January 5, 2005 01:30 PMGosh!
Posted by: Skorch at January 5, 2005 01:54 PMThe link's bad for me, but I trust that Batgirl wouldn't lie to us. Well, that, and I already saw it on ESPN =)
Posted by: Goob at January 5, 2005 02:49 PMSkorch! The town of Clik got hit with an earthquake and then wiped out with a tsunami! Oh, it was too sad to watch, even in animation!
Posted by: She-Ra, P.O.P. at January 5, 2005 02:54 PMDang! You got shocks, pegs... lucky! You ever take it off any sweet jumps?
Posted by: HooliganKat at January 5, 2005 03:06 PMIn my attempt to merge two of my favorite things (Twins and Napoleon) my recreation of a scene if the good Dr. and Lewww were in the movie.
Dr. Morneau: Lewwww, I reckon... you know a lot about... cyberspace? You ever come across anything... like time travel?
Lewwww: Easy, I've already looked into it for myself.
Dr. Morneau: Right on... right on.
Bet Lew's got some sweet computer hacking skills.
Posted by: She-Ra, P.O.P. at January 5, 2005 03:15 PMKat, your ear for natural dialogue is astonishing.
As for Gardy's extension... meh. It's not like he was on the hot seat, anyway. And if he were in real danger of being fired, no manager or coach in sports was ever saved merely by the old "vote of confidence" contract extension. If Mike Tice can get one, how much does it really mean?
Posted by: frightwig at January 5, 2005 03:43 PMIt's just because I've watched that movie obsessively for the last two weeks.
Posted by: HooliganKat at January 5, 2005 03:48 PMShe-Ra - That's pretty bad. It reminds me of what could have happened had the Japanese scientists successfully placed their explosives at the bottom of Loch Ness to blow Nessie out of the water. Thankfully the local Scottish wizards were able to cast a protective spell over our underwater ally.
Posted by: Skorch at January 5, 2005 04:07 PMFollowing in HooliganKat's dramatic footsteps I present the following:
Terry Francona: Vote for Schilling.
Jim Souhan: Yeah, right, I'm not voting for him.
Francona: Then who you gonna vote for?
Souhan: I'm voting for Johan Santana, who do you think?
[Francona walks away]
Souhan: Hey, Terry. Can I have one of those buttons?
[Francona hands Souhan a "Vote 4 Schilling" button]
[Souhan tosses it down the hall and runs away]
Skorch, all I can say is thank goodness for Sir Godfrey and the Nessie Alliance.
Posted by: She-Ra, P.O.P. at January 5, 2005 04:17 PMcongrats gardy!
Posted by: James at January 5, 2005 05:10 PMI'm sure you're no lightweight when it comes to using the numchucks!
E
Batgirl may have numchuck skills, but *I* have several hours' worth of videotape of myself throwing touchdown passes. YEAH!
