B.O.D.

Oh, it's been so long! The BODSHC has felt listless lately. For what good is being a Supreme High Comandress if there's nothing to Command?

How have the Batlings kept up with the Boyfriend of the Day? Have you been playing at home? Have you been picking your own boyfriends amongst yourselves? Is it always Terry Tiffee? Is there a whole Terry Tiffee Boyfriend Society? Do you have songs and a secret handshake and a special knock? Batgirl cannot blame you. There will certainly be many TuffeeTiffee BOD's to come.

But not today. There were just two boyfriends in the lineup today...and the Twins won't be at full boyfriend manpower until Cordel gets his latest bionic body part implanted. But tonight the Twins were much indebted to one Shannon Stewart for two of their three runs. In the third inning, he took the first pitch and hit it to 8 Mile, where Carlos Silva was still getting in Eminem's grill. Then in the 7th, with Pat Borders on, Stewart did what he does all the time, hitting a nice quiet single and advancing Borders to second. Borders would score on Jones's single to give the Twins the winning run, and that makes Shannon Stewart the Boyfriend of the Day.

Field/Readers 16, Corey/Jeb 12, Shannon/ Sooz 11, Dr. Morneau/Goober 9, Chairman Mauer/Batgirl 6.

I think the nathanest of Joes deserves a nod for boyfriend of the day..I may be the only one who seems to like Automatic...but...some one has to love a horse faced Count Chocula...Maybe its just seeing him in person with...full count fultzie but...he's something to look at

You are not the only one. Joe Nathan is my official boyfriend, and Donnalove loves him too.

But unless one of the Team Batgirl members claims him as an official boyfriend, then he can only be chosen as the "Reader's Boyfriend" when an official boyfriend has not contributed sufficiently to that day's game to earn the honor.
All the rules are listed in the "About" section in the column under the Santana/Nathan campaign store.

He is NOT horse-faced!!!!
I can't wait until my name is Donnalove Nathan.

Dear Batgirl,

If the B.O.D. rules ever change or you allow new members to join Team Batgirl, therefore registering their boyfriends as "official boyfriends" eligible for the daily contest, I would like to request that you recall that I was the first one to claim the Nathanest of Joe's as my boyfriend.

He's becoming very popular.
This is beginning to worry me.

bmint - you must be worried, to be making that post at 3:19 in the morning. Hopefully Joe's sleeping.

Dear Insider,

Based on his performance today, I'm sure Joe got a very good night's sleep.

I hope to get one tonight, provided I have no neighbors having parties and keeping me awake into the wee, small hours of the morning.

Thank you for your concern... ;-)

Ok..I realize the nathanest of joes is taken by someone else...But has anyone claimed Jesse Alan Crain? If not...I would like to have him as my reader boyfriend because well...he's Mr. Serious Short arm and he's sexy when he pitches...Since his last name is crain..Could we start calling him Frasier?

Posted by: Bojangles Crain at September 13, 2004 05:04 PM

Dearest Mrs. Crain,

There is no exclusivity clause in boyfriends at all--overlap is not a problem in any way. But if you would like to be Mrs. Crain, I cannot imagine Mr. Crain would have any objection.

Love,
BG
