B.O.D.

This is the best two-game winning streak ever! I don't know what you guys were all so worried about! Really, a classic Twins game—good pitching and, of course, huge offense. And I mean huge. In the second inning, Corey Koskie slammed a pitch to Thunder Bay to give the Twins a 2-0. In the third, Justin Morneau one upped his countryman, sending a solo homer to Winnipeg. That 3-0 lead gave Radke enough to unbundle his panties and shut the Yankees down-- and that makes you, the nation of Canada, the honorary Boyfriend of the Day

Yes, I know. But I would also like to nominate Bradke as the reader's boyfriend.
He gave us a particularly boyfriend-like performance this evening.

Yay, Canada!

Ka-BOOM! goes the Morneau launch into the upper deck; and, yea, the baseball gods were well pleased. With Johan Santana set to be sitting down scores of Yankee bitches tomorrow, surely the Curse of Trombley has been lifted?!

I noticed that Gordo was a little more animated than normal with Morneau's bomb. I'm surprised he didn't spontaneously combust or something.

I would also like to give an honorary BoD nomination to whatever it was Koskie beat the hell out of in Cleveland. I don't know what it did to cause Cordel to lash out like that, but it sure seems to have woken up the offense.

It sure was fun yelling "Sit Down You Yankee Bitch!!" a few times this evening.

Curse?? What curse? Never heard of it. ;-)

Anyone else think that Torii Hunter breaking Javier Vazquez's steal-less streak was one of the funniest moments of the year? Good D, Yanks.

The clouds part, the sky clears, and the sun shines. The children of the world join hands and lift their voices in grateful harmony. Bees bumble and buzz in a chorus of merriment, and gentlemanly birds twitter appreciatively. The berries sweeten on the vine, and little maids fall in love. Kittens bat mischiveously at brightly colored yarn. Puppies frolic. Flowers bloom. It is a glorious time to be alive.

I like the idea of a country as B.O.D.
Surely there's room in Canada's national budget for the line item, "flowers and chocolates for Batgirl" ... particularly since they spend so small a percentage of their GNP on health care.

All hail Cordel the Chair-Killer!

Torii's actually stolen 2nd base without anybody noticing at least three times in the last month, that I can recall. It's like he's learned a new mind trick from watching kung fu or something. THE WAY OF THE GHOST RUNNER, comes highly recommended by Tarantino and the Wu Tang Clan. I wonder if Molitor left it tucked under something in Torii's locker, just waiting for some summer morning when Torii would finally discover it.

Dearest Mr. Wig,

That, truly, is the only explanation.

Love,
