Shenanigans! (Eddie edition)

From MLB.com.

Beware of Eddie: Several Twins will be on high alert while at Safeco Field this week, knowing former teammate Eddie Guardado could be lurking with practical jokes. On the final day of the previous trip to Seattle, Guardado cut the toes out of players' dress socks and put itching powder in some coaches' pants.

Guardado is currently on the disabled list with a tired arm, meaning the reliever will have too much time on his hands for planning and executing.

"We're going to put lookouts all over. I'm hiring people," Gardenhire said. "I'm flying my son in -- he can watch my office."

It absolutely warms my heart every time I hear a story like that. Baseball may be a business, but it makes me proud that the Twins are a family. AJ's a Giant and Dougie's a Red Sock, but they'll always be family. And that makes me smile, my BatFriends.

After a 5-year stint in the Bay Area, I'm moving back to Minnesota, so I'll be seeing you folks at the Dome for the Bitch Sox series in mid-September. Hopefully we'll be a solid 15 games up by then....
