B.O.D.

Since there were no official boyfriends playing in today's game, this one won't count, but Batgirl's instinct is to give the B.O.D. to Michael Restovich for a key RBI, and for just being so adorable. What say you?

C'mon where's the love for Grant Balfour?

I vote Lewis for coming through in the clutch. All he does is get hits or as the case may be sac-flys. Grant definetly cowboyed-up today though.

I think Restovich could use the boost to his confidence. What better pick-me-up than an honorary BOD?

Give it to Grant
I was biting my fingernails when he came in
But 2 1/3 scroeless against the Sox
He deserves it

Corey did play.

Give it to Resto (maybe that'll convince MR. Ryan to keep him around for awhile...)

BG for BOD. Look at all the posts she was inspired to create after today's win. Thank ewe!

Resto really is adorable, isn't he?

I'll vote with you here Batgirl. He got the post game interview. He should get B.O.D. today too.

Goat of the day can go to that strike zone squeezing home plate ump.
Give the man a corner once in a while, would'ja?? Jeez...

I cannot speak to Restovich's adorability quotient, but I know I feel nervous when I consider how Resto, Cuddyer, and Ryan share the same first name. Goose pimply am I. And they also share the quality of not being regulars, but pretty darned good.

One of these days one of the Mike BODs will be traded for a pitcher. Can you feel it coming?

Jose O got the 'CCO postgame interview and laid down a sweet sac bunt. He should at least get a mention, if not the award.

It makes me happy because I am an actuary, and recently, discussion of Sabrmetrics has run through the division, with me a partial skeptic (I do believe you can build teams without big stars). The Twins apparently are a Sabrmetrics outlier, outscoring their playing and outwinning their scoring (if you care see Gleeman or Geek). Sac bunting isn't sabrmetrically sound, yet got the Twins the win.

Sac bunting in that situation is fairly sabermetrically sound. The problem th the sac bunt is that it helps you score one run, but generally keeps you from scoring more. Yesterday, our beloved heroes only needed one run, so the sac bunt was perfectly in order. It's when you pull off the sac bunt after a leadoff double in the first that we sabermetric folks get sullen and surly and throw beer at the manager's image on the TV screen.
