B.O.D.

You’re big, you look like you eat a lot of Twinkies, you’ve been voted out of MINNESOTA TWINS: HOT OR NOT and you look like TC Bear. And you’re not always the best DH ever, but you sure are the best pinch hitter since Kirk Gibson. You’ve had three official pinch hit ABs and in each of those three appearances, you’ve hit a homer. That’s pretty cool. Tonight’s turned the game from 3-1 to a 3-3 game, and you set the momentum for the Twins victory. Plus your name is kind of French. And that’s why you, Matthew LeCroy, are the Boyfriend of the Day

Field/Readers 12, Corey/Jeb & Dougie/Goober 7, Sooz/Shannon 6, Joe/Batgirl 3.

Dear Batgirl,
Not to be priggishly concerned about accuracy, but Matty "Boom Boom" "Big Country" LeCroy has been a pinch hitter four times this season. He has four home runs for (I believe) 8 RBI and was walked once (I believe on four pitches and scored a run).

I was thinking that maybe Offerman should be DH and have Matty pinch hit for him the first time it looks important (i.e. even in the first inning if there are RISP).

Dear Mr. mr,

I count Tampa Bay, Toronto, and today for 3 PH HRs on the season (six HRs total). What am I missing?

Sincerely,
Batgirl

The Minnesota Sports guys on FSN just said it was 3-3 with 8 RBIs. So I dunno.

Dear All,

I think Mr. mr is right. He could be 3 HRs for 3 ABs (as they said on FSN and ESPN), but have a pinch hit walk. I will change the entry to make it more vague, but if anyone could find the exact answers, I'd be forever grateful.

Sincerely,
Batgirl

I now know why it was so clear that he got a walk: It happened last night! In the ninth for Mulholland. However, Go Boom Ruxpin Country did not score a run last night.

Dear Mr. mr,

You are a scholar and a gentleman. Thank you.

Warmly,
Batgirl

On a day when Doug Mientkiewicz kicked-started the Twins comeback from a 3-0 deficit, with a rare home run (esp. on the road!), I can't believe that Goober will let this BOD decision pass without protest.
