Gentle readers, Batgirl is sleepy and is unsure who the Boyfriend of the Day should be for the Bitch Sox game. Who do you think deserves the coveted honor? Batgirl will review the nominations and announce the winner later this weekend.

Posted by: SSJPabs at May 14, 2004 10:54 PMIt seems to me that one of key factors of the BOD is usually an acknowledgement of....swoon-worthiness (if that's a word). The most swoon-worthy aspect of last night's game that I can recall is the last play. Strike 'em out, throw 'em out, to end the game. I don't know which deserves the credit, since Nathan made a nice pitch, Blanco made a nice throw, and Rivas made a great catch & tag. I guess I'd have to vote for Rivas, since he had the best game otherwise (I can't belive that I just said that).

Posted by: Goober at May 15, 2004 10:35 AMI agree with Goob, has to be Jones. He had a huge RBI single in the 8th, went 3 for 3, and, most shockingly, he walked more times then he struck out. This was bizzarro Jacque. He got a hit in the clutch and took pitches with two strikes. Certainly a boy-friendish performance.

Sure he was only in for 1/2 an inning but he helped "The Nathanator" (someone much cleverer than me needs to come up with something much better fir this fine gentleman, nick-name-wise) kick some ass and threw out the runner for the final out. See, BG, keep him off the bases and only good things can happen. Maybe a pick as BOD will be just what Senor Blanco needs to realize the errors of his ways. Or maybe not.
