Get Out of Jail Free Card?

Batgirl's good friend Sid Hartman informed his readers that Fox, owners of FSN, also owns DirecTV. DirecTV is one of the six big cable operators who can't seem to find a way to buy Pyrrhic Victory One, nor can any of the six of them show up for mediation. How strange. Batgirl was raised with a firm foundation in antitrust law, and she doesn't want to seem paranoid, but it seems like the biggest monopoly* since Batgirl's husband built hotels on Park Place and Boardwalk.

Batgirl's swarm of lawyers will be working on the case this weekend.

* Batgirl's swarm of lawyers inform her that it's not really a monopoly but a conspiracy in restraint of trade. Batgirl's lawyers, as regular readers know, are no fun.

You're right, Batgirl. It's a circus. News Corp (Fox) owns 34% of DirecTV. It would be tough for them to drop a Fox station for the aptly named Pyrrhic Victory One. Another point of note: Midcontinent Communications has 300,000 cable subscribers, almost all in the Twins region. Those cable systems are 50% owned by Comcast. Everyone is related to everyone else. Like Tennesee. Either way, I'm starting to anti-trust everyone involved in this...

P.S: I just discovered this site and it's excellent. I listened to that suicide squeeze on the radio and I couldn't picture how it took place. Your reenactment enlightened me. I feel like I didn't miss a thing. Thank you, Batgirl.

Not surprising that FSN doesn' want to negotiate considering their previous position.

But remember, Sid Hartman is a crazy crank.

I figure I will get to watch about 6 games this year. Down my way, Fox Sports picked up the Brewers games. Woo National League baseball.

And I am sure WGN will air a few games when we play the ChiSox

This suck. I want to see my team, no OUR team on television. Why can't people come to a conclusion. You'd figure that airing the game would be lucrative for both parties involved

keep rocking batgirl!
